And we're asking, what standard do you use to determine modesty? Is it the culture at the time of the Old Testament or is it another culture? There are no specifics in Scripture as far as tightness of clothing or length of pants/dresses so how do you decide the specifics? Please answer this question directly.

That by precept and example we uphold modesty of dress as becometh holiness, purity, and deep spirituality.

Length
---Shirts or blouses have sleeves past the elbow.
---No low necklines.
---Men are covered down to the ankles.
---Women are covered to below the knee both standing and sitting.
Looseness
---Not suggestive
---not tight fitting
Thickness
---That there be enough weight that the skin or undergarments can not be seen.
Color
---That the color not draw undue attention to the wearer.
Shoes
---No wearing of the open toes or open heals.
Type
---No T-shirts or tank tops
---No Shorts
---No slit skirts
---Young girls may wear split skirts

None of this is in Scripture, this is a tradition your denomination has. Two hundred years ago people in the West would have been scandalized by a knee length dress on a woman, why is it okay now?

Since when did ankles, knees, and toes become so tempting to people? It sounds like what this boils down to is a complete difference in denomination, which is absolutely fine. I'm glad we FINALLY understand each other now. Still, as Eleventh Doctor said, this is just your denomination's opinion, so you can't act like the Bible decrees the exact same thing, when it really doesn't. It's fine that you hold those beliefs, but you would have to accept our opinions on the matter, just as I accept yours.

Exactly what age are we in? I am getting a bit confused.
Now if I can't wear a T-shirt, I am revolting.

You have yet to address this question: Two hundred years ago people in the West would have been scandalized by a knee length dress on a woman, why is it okay now?

Yeah, You can join. We should all protest. And Mr. Yorp, could you make a bit longer posts and address all that has been asked of you?
And PS. Mr Yorp, I swim without a shirt. What is your opinion on what we should wear when swimming?

I'm not sure that it is. It may not be okay. I prefer longer skirts on women though.

I'd rather you not, but as long as you are only swimming with others of the same sex and that the opposite sex is not watching, I'm more comfortable with that.

The list you provided from your denomination said it was okay for women to wear skirts or dresses that only fell to the knee. So why did it say that?

Well I'm sure those women would have opinions of their own on what they want to wear. Have you ever talked to a member of the opposite sex about this?

It's a problem of desensitization.

(Is Blitz a female?) You see if a women does not properly cover her body it will cause men to lust.

So you'd rather have stricter rules than you posted? How far would you take it?

Nope, not the woman's fault. It's the man's fault for viewing her as an object to be lusted after and not as a person. If covering up prevented lust then women in Muslim countries who wear head to toe burqas wouldn't be raped but they are, so nope not true.

Actually, Most members of my denomination would not even like a split skirt. As I said, it is a carefulness.
As in, it may be okay to do it, but if it's not, then we have not sined. does that make sense?
