It's interesting how the slang you use in your vocabulary has been used more recently by the internet. "Boi, squad, and lit." I haven't heard those until recently actually. I wonder what would cause an increase of Southern slang into mainstream media...
At our house we've always said "By the house." Which is rather funny since I thought it was unusual.

We say "you guys" to address a group of people. =p #eastern My YG was with some Texans on a mission trip and neither groups could get pass that the other uses ya'll/you guys xD
Also, the dialect in my area includes pronunciations like "crick" (for creek), "earl" (for oil), etc. "You'nse" is also used in my area, but not my by family. But it's not pronounced "You-inz"... it's "Yunz." Almost like an "oo" sound (like in book), but I can't think of a proper phonetically way of describing it.

Ya'll seems to be one thing most of the members of the SS have in common.
I believe I understand what you mean, it'd be said as the same way as the o's in "boot." An U sound. And if you're saying "crick," you're not opening your jaw as much as you would for the ee sound in "creek." I'm guessing your tongue is focused on the lower region of your mouth.
