How did your trip go? What was the best moment? What was the hardest moment? What is something you learned? What did you do while you were there?
I missed you!
I missed you!

I am not. Unfortunately...at times.Emma wrote:Unless... HE IS CANADIAN!!!! (Are you?)

If it's once-a-month Occasional, then I guess. This week, on my mission trip, I had the most fast food I've ever eaten... 0_o Subway.Bethany Shepard wrote:Do you enjoy the occasional fast food? Where is your favorite?
Hmmmm, I don't know. Breads?Bethany Shepard wrote:What is the one, single food that you would never give up?
Ummm, all of them? ^_^ Everything I do.Bethany Shepard wrote:What is your weirdest "quirk"?
Don't really know. You probably wouldn't want to know anyway.HomeschoolCowgirl wrote:How would you spend a week free of responsibilities?
Hmmmmm, let me think....I've always liked ostriches....but there is some black and white bird I like as well, but I can't quite think of it....Aftershocker wrote:Who's your favorite fine feathered friend?
It's a week long mission trip....deal with it.Miss Friendship wrote:Why do you take such lonnnnnnng trips?COME BACK.
I don't think so. They are Brown Swiss though, and they are my favorite breed of dairy cows.Helios wrote:Are the beasts in your signature actually oxen?
It was GREAT!aragtaghooligan wrote:How did your trip go?
The first night, after chapel time, my youth group spent a long time discussing several things. And it was similar to some of the discussions on the ToO, except very kind and open...and I was able to use some of the information I've been learning about from several Theology/Philosphy podcasts, so that was cool.aragtaghooligan wrote:What was the best moment?
Most of the VBS was a little hard for me, because almost none of the kids knew English, and I'm not the best person with kids in the first place...so I was a little awkward for a while...aragtaghooligan wrote:What was the hardest moment?
Spanish. I've learned important words like empuja (push), alto (higher), and listo (ready). Very important words with kids on a swing set.aragtaghooligan wrote:What is something you learned?
We did a VBS from Monday to Thursday. The first three days, there were 6 stations, and each one had a Bible story and activity with it. On Monday, I helped with the story of Day 4 of the Creation week. The activity was drawing stars with crayons, and then painting over it with black water-colors. The water did not paint over the wax, so the stars really stuck out.aragtaghooligan wrote:What did you do while you were there?
I missed you too! When I go away, I usually try to disconnect myself from home, in order to not get homesick, etc. It was a little harder to disconnect myself from all of you guys, but I managed.aragtaghooligan wrote:I missed you!

You handed out rice and beans...so what, one bean and one rice to everyone?
How long did it take for you to read everything on the SS?
Isn't Helios great?
Welcome back! (Actually I didn't really miss you except one day. You were mostly forgotten)

I don't even know how to respond. But, actually, we had four cans of kidney beans and four bags of rice. And we talked to three different people, two of which accepted the food. We also passed two other people that we gave Rice and beans to, so we passed out everything we were given.Miss Friendship wrote:You handed out rice and beans...so what, one bean and one rice to everyone?
I just finished everything, today. I think. And it was waaaaaaaaaay too long... -_-Miss Friendship wrote:How long did it take for you to read everything on the SS?

MF and OxR I can't tell if you guys are on the same page or not. Is one or both of you being really mean or is one or both of you just being funny and are you both ok with it? Just be careful you are on the same page and not hurting anyone's feelings because what you guys say to each other almost sounds like bullying and it stresses me out.

I was supposed to be quiet when I read this, and it was all I could do to not burst out laughing.Isaiah the Ox wrote:I don't even know how to respond.
*shiver* I hope not. That would be like being on the Sheriff's "Wanted list" only...worse.Isaiah the Ox wrote:Yeah...honestly....you weren't on my top "missing persons" list either.
*gets into serious mood* We are both ok with it. We both love sarcasm, and its rare to find someone who we can rant and rage on all in fun, and who won't get offended.aragtaghooligan wrote:MF and OxR I can't tell if you guys are on the same page or not. Yeaaaaaaaaah....we basically are bullying each other, but we both enjoy it...slightly.aragtaghooligan wrote:MF and OxR I can't tell if you guys are on the same page or not. ^^^^ This.Miss Friendship wrote:*gets into serious mood* We are both ok with it. If we get offended at each other, (which does happen, but rarely) we get un-offended.
NO. NO. NO. Blech! I don't like either of them. Coffee smells like skunk... Sorry to burst your bubble.Miss Friendship wrote:Do you like coffee OxR? Iced coffee?

How did you guys decide who would and wouldn't get the five first class seats? Why didn't you eat the local food instead of something Italian?

I just wondered. No need to react so.Isaiah the Ox wrote:NO. NO. NO. Blech! I don't like either of them. Coffee smells like skunk... Sorry to burst your bubble.
My dad and uncle both agreed with you that coffee faintly does smell like a skunk, and they said they love that smell. So, heh, ITS A GOOD SMELL.

Lol, I'm kidding.
So, Ox, do you prefer tea?

Let see....My one youth leader has special benefits with the airlines. He was able to have a 5 people with his special benefits, and each person could get a free checked bag. He could also pick seats on the airplane earlier, so we could sit together. The other four people in my youth group were with my other youth leader, who did not have any benefits. When the airline upgraded my youth leader, they decided to upload his entire party, all five of us. How we were chosen to go with the one youth leader and not the other, I have no idea, except all of us in the group of five were over 16, so that might have had something to do with it.aragtaghooligan wrote:How did you guys decide who would and wouldn't get the five first class seats?
Because...I didn't.aragtaghooligan wrote:Why didn't you eat the local food instead of something Italian?
Heh. I knew you liked coffee, so I decided to be rude. Not really...who would want to drink skunk?Miss Friendship wrote:I just wondered. No need to react so.Well, I pity you, you really should consider getting a doctor to look at you. Have you ever tried coffee?
If you say so....Miss Friendship wrote:My dad and uncle both agreed with you that coffee faintly does smell like a skunk, and they said they love that smell. So, heh, ITS A GOOD SMELL.

What do you like in your tea? I like milk and honey and every time my mom asks what kind of tea I want I say the kindkind, then I say "with milk and honey on the other side" because of that song.
