Jack Allen
Jack and Whit grew up together and have
been lifelong friends. But unlike Whit—who can be strong and
forceful—Jack is more reflective and reticent to impose his points of
view on those around him. He has been described as “painfully polite.”
He is a mild, well-educated and well-mannered “gentle-man” in every
sense of the word. Jack was recently married to Joanne Woodston, years
after his first wife’s death, and the two manage an antique shop in
Odyssey.

Jacques Henri
Jacques Henri is an art shop owner, supposedly from
Paris, France, whose prices supposedly exceed the amount of digits in a
phone number, and seems to be willing to sell anything for a quick buck,
including the sign for the bathroom! He is very quirky in an artsy type
of way. Also he has certain unusual expectations of
his employee, Penny Wise, in terms of artistic behavior. |

Jason Whittaker
Jason is Whit’s youngest son—and in many
ways, he is a “chip off the old block.” Most of Jason’s life was spent
as an “analyst” and operative (in other words, secret agent) for the
National Security Agency, just like his dad. And Jason also inherited
his father’s love for inventions and tinkering with gadgets—especially
the high-tech kinds. But while Jason possesses Whit’s sense of
adventure, he does not possess Whit’s patience and wisdom, which results
in Jason’s often reckless, impetuous nature. He is a “man of action” who
sometimes leaps before he looks.

sometimes hangs out with Vance King, though even their relationship can
be adversarial.

Jessie Morales
Jessie Morales is a cheerful, but scatterbrained girl,
who is a Christian, but can be swayed with romantic-themed media and
superstition. She used to have a big crush on Jimmy Barclay, until she
broke up with him for Eugene. She enjoys watching at least one soap
opera and will work very hard to watch it every day. Despite Jessie's
apparent being scatterbrained, she's actually rather sophisticated for
her age. She has a large vocabulary which helps her with her
up-and-coming writing skills. She once went to the Lost and Found at
school to look for her innocence and she also hired Harlow Doyle to help
her find her lost faith.
