Hadley Bassett

 

Hadley Bassett is Wooton's second cousin twice removed. His parents are Milt and Wanda. He is fascinated with Wooton's comics. He went fishing with Wooton when they were 12. He has a relative named Mod Colins that owns a radish farm just outside Kansas City and he spent a couple summers with her. Wooton called him the comic relief.

Hal Cunningham

 

Hal Cunningham is the biological father of Lucy Cunningham-Schultz. He died in a car accident in the time frame of the show, but the accident was not a major plot event in any episode. At one point he had worked with George Barclay. It is known that he was a reporter for the Odyssey Times. His career as a reporter inspired Lucy to pursue journalism as well and she spent time interning at the Odyssey Times and as a reporter for the Odyssey Owl.

Hank Murray

 

Hank Murray tried to rob Whit's End once but failed. He escaped from prison and failed again. He was captured by an unfortunate horse accident, and is now back in prison.

Harlow Doyle

 

Harlow Doyle is the most clueless private detective anyone could ever hope to meet. Harlow got his start working “undercover” in the bedding and sheets department of a local store ... and his career has gone downhill since. You can spot Harlow (when he’s not trying to camouflage himself) puttering about the streets of Odyssey in pursuit of the wrong criminals on his trusty Moped.

Helen Davis

 

Helen Davis is the mother of Jack Davis. She is married to Al Davis. Her daughter in-law is Lucy Cunningham-Schultz Davis.

Helen Wilson

 

Helen Wilson is a bit senile (possibly has a form of Alzheimers or dementia), but she knows Whit with whom she was fellow teachers, possibly at Odyssey Middle School. Helen was widowed after her late husband Donald passed away, and also has a grandson named Humphry who is around his 30s or 40s and rarely comes to visit her.

Horace McAlister

Horace McAlister founded Odyssey in the mid-1800s. He is from Richland, Virginia. Even though he received the deed to the land that would become Odyssey from being cheated by his twin brother Grover McAlister, he prospered by using his farming knowledge to irrigate the land from being swamp land to farmland. Horace is responsible for naming the town of Odyssey.
