img-goldaudio3.jpg (11949 bytes)The cover art for Heroes has finally been released. It isn't the final version of the album, but the image you see at the right (click for a larger image) will be as is. According to Focus on the Family's resource page, The kids from Odyssey manage to get themselves into — and out of — all kinds of interesting predicaments in these audio adventures. Rumor has it that the new family in town is connected to the Mafia, Odyssey Elementary School is troubled with bullies and Lucy struggles with telling a secret she vowed to keep. With a little prodding from Mr. Whitaker, they learn how God can help them deal with anything.

I'm looking forward to this album's release, though Out of Control is higher on the list.

If you're interested in the producers of Adventures in Odyssey, then be sure to head on over to paulmccusker.com. It just opened and contains lots of cool information on one of AIO's first writers.

What do you think of Fred Holstein's disappearance from Odyssey?

Sunday, October 26, 2003

Yesterday Silver Lining (#530) aired on radio stations across the country. Be sure to listen at Oneplace if you do not have a local station.

Today I updated the Fan List with four names. If you haven't signed it yet, what's holding you back?

Today my new Review is available:

The Mailman Cometh

*****

Today's Adventures in Odyssey adventures are taking a new spin, ignoring what AIO was in the past and sideswiping accuracy.

I did a little design change to the Reviews section which I hope you'll like. Otherwise it'll just be me that likes it.

Also today the Wallpaper section over at Misc has been updated with four new desktop backgrounds. Be sure to check them out. More information is available on the right column below.

It appears as though AIO is having trouble choosing an ending for a future episode. That's why they've decided to let the fans vote on how My Girl Hallie should end. If you go to the Official Site, you can read through the episode and proceed to vote on which ending you like best. I personally haven't voted yet, but will soon. Head on over and help AIO out.

In regards to the Odyssey Scoop, what would you suggest we give away as a prize for our next contest?

Sunday, October 19, 2003

Well I suddenly got motivated the other day and decided to give the Official Adventures in Odyssey Fan List a new look. Be sure to head on over to see the fresh design. Seven more names have been added. The list is getting so long that I'll probably have to alphabetize it pretty soon here! Also don't forget to check out my new review I posted yesterday.

Saturday, October 18, 2003

Today The Mailman Cometh (#529) airs on radio stations across the country! Be sure to listen at Oneplace if you do not have a local station.

Also today a new Review has been posted.

Taming of the Two

*****

"I've been experiencing a decline in thoughts of negativity this season, and the episode I just heard invites me to recline and listen again."

A few days ago I forgot to mention after the revamp to the website that I had updated the DVD's page with 7 new DVD titles. Be sure to look into it if you're interested.

This week has been extremely hectic for me as I've been visiting colleges, editing the Scoop files, and trying to get Software Technology chapters done. I hope to write my review of last week's episode sometime tonight, and you should be able to see it tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, the changes have finally been made that I mentioned yesterday. Why not do me a favor and take a look around the site to make sure everything's working properly? If not, by all means, Contact Us and give us the link of the page with problems.

Wednesday, October 15, 2003

I've been doing some major file editing and some major behind-the-scenes changes to the website this week. Because of this, don't be surprised if you point your browser to this site sometime this week and see a "This site is temporarily closed" notice. It will probably be closed for an hour, up to three hours. I need that time to get things in order for the changes. In my editing I've encountered some troubles getting my stuff to work, so it's been a rough journey this week. We'll get the changes implemented soon. At worst, the site would probably be unavailable for a day... but it'd have to be a major problem if that happened.

Update: Files and everything else has been edited. If you missed the downtime... you sure didn't miss anything!

In general, what do you think of the Fall Season 2003 so far?

Saturday, October 11, 2003

The third episode of the Fall Season 2003 airs on radio stations across the country today. Be sure to tune in for The Taming of the Two [#528].

Bart Rathbone has a proposal for Edwin Blackgaard...become the voice of the Electric Palace! But Edwin would rather pull his toenails out than agree to such a thing. Where will Bart turn for help?

So far, I'm enjoying the new season of AIO. How about you?

Thursday, October 9, 2003

Be sure to check back tomorrow for an exciting review of Black Clouds. Today I added a bit of news to the News page in regards to the new AIO DVD singles. I'll try to post more information about them later on in the Merchandise section of the website.

Tuesday, October 7, 2003

If an old Odyssey family suddenly showed up this season, how would you react and why?

Monday, October 6, 2003

I'm surprised at all the positive responses I've gotten to our new Extra! Extra! article, "And the Small Bell Jingled." It appears as though the article has hit home for the fans who've read it. If you haven't read the new article, be sure to see what the issue is.

A brand-new Poll for October has been posted. I hope to release my review of Black Clouds later this week. Stay tuned...

Saturday, October 4, 2003

Today I'm proud to present a new article over at Extra! Extra! With a title as mysterious and odd as And the Small Bell Jingled, you'll just have to go see what it's about. I'm sure it'll be a nice treat. I did some minor revamping to the EE section itself, so check it out.

Also today Black Clouds airs on radio stations across the country. As the road trip continues, a raging storm forces Connie to stop at a roadside diner. Things gets interesting when a young girl comes through the door...just before lightning strikes! [Source: Official Site] Don't miss the second episode of the Fall Season 2003!

As promised, Reviews has been updated with the first show of the new season, Seeing Red.

Seeing Red

*****

"...I've been generally pleased with Glenn Montjoy's work recently, and it sure is hard to get a new AIO guy on my side."

I enjoyed writing the review for Seeing Red and I sure hope I'll have time to post my reviews as each episode comes out. Writing a review is one of the tasks I dread for the Scoop, but in the end it turns out being fun.

Wednesday, October 1, 2003

Welcome to the month of October! Today I archived all of September 2003's updates. Also today the Schedule for the new month is update, though incomplete at this moment. I plan on reviewing Seeing Red today or possibly tomorrow, so keep your eyes open for any new stuff at the site.
