I knew Sixth when I was an atheist but we didn't really become friends until after I became a Christian. He doesn't care for the debates we're having now. My sister is engaged, in school, and working so she doesn't have time to post. I believe it was this thread on prison reform:

I do believe the Bible means what it says, I just come to different conclusions about what it's saying. I want to clarify that even when I disagree with you I'm not saying the Bible is untrue I'm saying I interpret it differently than you. So with God's wrath, as the article I sent you says God's wrath is not the same as our wrath, anymore than God's love is like our love. As I've said what we experience as wrath, and that is the best way this experience can be communicated to us, is God's love towards those with sin. I think it's an important distinction to be made.
Not at all, I am a big fan of C.S. Lewis for example. I've recently been reading Henri Nouwen who is a Catholic theologian. I am familiar with Calvin and Luther's writings, as well as some of the Puritans. Because those were part of my background as a Reformed Protestant. Wesley and Spurgeon are part of the Armenian/Anabaptist tradition that I was never a part of, I just never had the occasion to read about them. I have heard of them, as in I know they exist and were traveling preachers during one of the Great Awakenings I think. I know of William Booth and the Salvation Army. Do you know of St. John of Kronstadt or St. Seraphim of Sarov?
I believe I am part of the historic Church and so confirming the teachings they received from Christ and the Apostles is the main way in which I figure out my theology. After all it's either them or just myself or people later so why not go back to the source?
I have no idea
I use both
