What's your favorite movie? And why? *this might have been asked already*
Where would you go as a missionary?
Would you rather face an angry cannibal or swim toward a crocodile?
A few questions Mandy wanted me to post on here...
Do you ever post on anything besides a debate and your Q/A?
And...
Do you think you are too old to listen to AIO?

I do drink wine, I prefer a new gouda cheese to go along with it
See above
I like to visit my friends in Lynchburg
Favorite movie, such a hard choice. The Blue's Brothers just for being fun and campy. All the Harry Potter films as one for being the best series ever and having such a great message of friendship and love.
I have no idea where I'd go as a missionary
I would rather face neither but one cannibal seem less dangerous than one crocodile
I post in Church too
I don't think I'm too old I just don't get the albums anymore

What board setting do you use for the Soda Shop?
And do you read every single post made or only certain topics?

There are different board settings?
I read every post made in the general area as I am responsible for moderating those.

I don't actually have to do much as a mod, just make sure threads stay on topic, no double posting, and warn people about breaking the rules.
I do not like to draw because I am not good at drawing
I cannot

If you could meet 5 people from the SS in real life, which ones would you choose?
Do you communicate with your friends in real life more by actual verbal communication or by social media and electronic devices?

I just never saw the need to change my board preferences.
I'd meet TigerShadow, Belle, Miss Friendship, Ragtag, and Mandy.
Until recently I saw most of my real friends several times a week in person but lately it's been more text and email during the busy summer months.
@ragtag Oh yes, I could never enjoy something I'm not good at

Yes, Countess. Even the main theme, the Ice cream cones look slightly different when there is an unread post...but the AcidTech themes show the marker for unread posts better.
Would you rather debate an atheist, or a Christian?
What other religion would you like to, or have you, debate(d)?
What is one Bible verse that you feel is too easily or too often taken out of context?

There are so many different types of atheist and Christians that I don't feel like I could answer that adequately without getting into what is the debate about and what kind of atheist or Christian is the person.
I've discussed things with pretty much every religion. I guess if I was picking something new I'd want to talk to a Scientologist as I just don't understand where they're coming from.
Romans 1:18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness"

How does someone take that verse out of context? And what do you think it means?

How long have you been on the SS/ToO?
What brought you here? And which site did you join first?
Do you prefer the mountains, or the beech?

It always puzzles me how you believe most of the Bible is communicated to us accurately and literally means what it says, unless it contradicts your beliefs. Like Genesis 1 and Romans 1. Suddenly those passages aren't literal, and communicated to us wrongly. For all you know, Jesus might not have died for us, if the Bible can't be trusted to say exactly what it means all the time.Eleventh Doctor wrote:We've discussed this verse before and my views on God's emotions.
What do you think of the English preacher John Wesley?
What do you think of Charles Spurgeon?

I have been on the ToO since 2007 and SS since 2013. I joined the ToO first because my sister was on there first and kept asking my thoughts on debates going on so I decided to just join. I joined the SS because some SS had come over to ToO and said that SS was so much better so my friend Sixth Doctor and I were like "Hey new people to debate, let's go over there and start a bunch of debates."
I prefer the beach.
When did I ever say most of the Bible is literal? Also I've never said those passages are communicated to us wrongly and not being literal doesn't have to mean not true. Does the Bible have to be exactly literal all the time for any of it to be true?
I don't know enough about either of those men to comment, they weren't part of my Protestant background and obviously are not part of my Orthodox tradition now. I haven't read any of their writings and haven't heard any of their sermons.
I would do nothing

When you became friends with Sixth were you both atheists? Why doesn't he come onto the SS anymore? (I am sure he disliked me and my debating, but I liked him regardless) Does your sister still post on the ToO? What was the first debate you started on the SS?
You never said that but I take it that you believe the Bible does mean what it says generally. Of course if all the miracles were merely figurative as well in your opinion, I would love to know. Well if they are communicated to us rightly, why aren't you believing what it's saying? Oh, you say you do, but believing God isn't capable of wrath when a verse clearly says He does, sounds like believing it was communicated to us less than perfect.
Does a person have to be part of your Orthodox tradition in order to be deemed good enough to learn from? How about William Booth and the Salvation Army? Ever heard of him? Frankly, I am very surprised that you not even knowing John Wesley's story. (Like as shocking as no coffee)

I'm sorry MF...but your questions are about as rude as mine are on your thread!
And, I want to point out, Eleventh could probably go into a long tangent on theologians that he knows, that you haven't even heard of before. And, he would probably say they are important to him as Wesley and Booth are to you. Oh, and do you mean John Wesley, who started Weslian theology? (a different view on predestination and free will)
How much does historic Christianity help you in figuring out your theology?
What do you think the "world" means, in verses MF oft quotes?
Do you use a mobile device, or do you use a computer?
