Oh, okay. A key is basically how many black keys you are playing. For example, if you start on middle C and play every white key until the next C, that is called a C scale, and it sounds like a normal "Do, Re, Mi..." However, if you start on F, to make the notes sound like "Do, Re, Mi" rather than "Do, Re, You," you have to play a B flat, but the rest you play white keys. I bet that makes no sense, but I'm going to post it anyway.
