And there are enough hospitals in the world to talk about them in general too...

This is an excellent example of judgmental hypocrisy. It is *not your place* to say whether someone is saved or not. Or probably saved. Not even close to your place. Take a step down from your high horse and consider that you're not better than anyone else.MissFriendship wrote:I thought you were talking about expensive hospitals, and all doctors and nurses in generals. Of course a surgeon can serve God and follow Jesus. I'm just saying the majority probably don't. Besides its not the surgeon who invests money into the hospital, isn't that the government?

You realize you are arguing with this, especially the underlined part. It's truth, its fact--call it judgmental all you want. But Jesus spoke it, I stake my claim, and I believe it. So if you call this judgmental--you are calling Jesus judgmental.

And He's made it.
Simply quoting His words is hardly judgmental. (Unless you are taking offense to His words)
Luke 7:23 "And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."

'This person is probably not saved' is not quoting the Bible. You're using Bible verses to justify your judgment on people. This is becoming meaningless, you don't see it as hypocritical and we're going in circles.
This verse is just saying that not everyone's going to heaven, not sure how this proves your point. >_>MissFriendship wrote:*I bow from the ring*MissFriendship wrote:Luke 13:13-14

Means putting away money for when you're unable to work and make the same amount of money you are now.

@ Wakko It actually says that many will try to enter and not be able.... So its not even including the people who don't want to serve God in the first place. That really narrows it down...

Still doesn't give you the right to say specific people or groups of people aren't saved. That's for God to decide, not for you even if you claim to be using God's words. If we want to go down that road I could pull up some verses and apply them to you and say they're not my words.

I didn't mention any specific groups... Only the "majority" of the world.

Anyway, my whole point is it is not your place to be judging anyone, judging also includes taking verses and saying this applies to this person or this group of people. You are not God. What benefit does it serve to say that the majority of the world is doomed?

Its not pleasant, but its true. And maybe if more people realized that, they would get more of a burden for the lost and go warn them of coming judgment.

There you go judging again.
So according to your description of who is going to heaven, you aren't since you are rich. Hold on before you go getting mad at me let me explain. Your focusing so much on what we do, but isn't the price paid? Once you believe in Christ you are saved, sealed. On the other hand, you are taking the approach of the moralist described in Romans 2. Romans 2:3 will start us off. If you have sinned, you cannot judge anyone. Based on James 2:10, each person who offends on point is guilty of all. Also the example of Jesus and the women caught in adultery. It is impossible to carry out the law to the entirety, but our own effort have no effect on going to Heaven. Our works have no bearing on our going to Heaven. I mean the Corinthians were horribly carnal Christian, yet Paul never called them out that they weren't going to heaven. They actually did have a problem with giving money. Have you forgotten Ephisians 2:8-10?
Of course, you can go through the argument of should we sin for grace to abound, and I won't go into that right now.
I encourage giving. Heck I live off of giving. I have given up a lot of things for God, but I do not say that rich Christians are not going to heaven, or physicians for that matter. You do know Luke was a physician?

If Rich is hording great sums of money and positions, than Christians are not to be rich. A Christian can be wealthy. Wealthy is having more than necessities.
hello? That's false. I am the one who said something about police officers in an earlier debate and that's not what I said at all. I was merely saying that it would be against my conscience to be a police officer, but I am sure there are police officers who are real true Christians.Blitz wrote:Or wrong. I mean she doesn't even believe in Christian police officers.
