Me..... I have no distinguishable accent. I even end up talking like the British on a few words. Some people say I sound like a person from the Dominican Republic.

I'm from the South, but I wasn't raised in a house where Southern accents were naturally thick, so mine tends to be fairly understated. When I get really excited or otherwise worked up, though, it tends to surface more consistently.

I have a Midwestern accent. It seems to be pretty much like the standard you hear on TV etc, but then if you go to a different state (like Minnesota right across from our town), or even a different part of the state, you can notice differences. I think we tend to hardly pronounce some sounds. Like how we say "Wisconsin" is more like "Wuh-SCON-s'n", hardly pronouncing the last 'i' at all. And there's some things we say, like "pop" instead of "soda".

I have a very, very, very slight British accent because I watch way too much British TV xD But my normal accent I guess would be Canadian (if that is an accent), but I sometimes sound French Canadian for some reason. I don't speak French that much... weird.

I didn't think I had an accent until I went to Ohio on a missions trip with my youth group, and we started talking to this one guy on the street and he said, "Your from (insert my state here), aren't you? I can tell by your accent!" I was like, "Um ya." O.o

Haha Amerika, I have a friend that we always teased because she kept trying to say Wisconsin but it always came out, "Wis-CAH-ns'n

I don't have an accent really but my friend pointed out that I say a few words with a British accent, particularly "actually" which I pronounce as "octually."

Yup, Canadian is definitely an accent.
I guess I just have a standard Northwestern accent...not really what anyone would call an accent.

Ha, that's funny. We make fun of the people on the news a lot of the time because they're "saying it wrong". "Wis-CON-sin"--what state's that?

I used to think I didn't have an accent but I've been made aware I kinda do.

When we went to New York, people thought my grandpa was from a foreign country. He's not; he was born and raised in Wisconsin.

When we went to the South Carolina this year, we stopped at an ice cream place. They asked if my sister wanted a bowl or a cup. My sister kept saying "cup" but they couldn't understand her.

It's true, everyone has an accent. We just don't realize it when we live around other people with the same accent.

Depends.... when I'm super excited I sound like a valley girl (CA) But normally I have a vagabond accent it's kinda just bits and pieces of a ton of America accents. If I'm tired... I have this really weird California/deep south/new England/middle north west thing going on like Every other word sounds different.... But I'm super good with speaking in different accents and telling accents apart!

Let me just put it this way when it comes to having an accent: I talk to Ben, Audrey, Ryan Matlock, and Montie (NarniaQA Guy) quite frequently. They're from all over the country--all different places and none really close to me (except, of course, that Ben used to love in CA.) When I go back and listen to recordings, I don't notice any kind of difference at all in the way I talk from the way any of them talk. Thus, I can say quite assuredly that I have a fairly standard American accent.
I do think that television and the internet have helped to standardise American accents to some degree...obviously not completely, but a lot more.

I was babysitting a few nights ago and was talking (or trying to) talk in a French accent. I'm terrible at anything that isn't Missouri or Southern... So it was really bad, I'm sure, but it entertained them.
