That every thing is made of tiny strait lines!

Why should the winds not represent the four seasons?

Okay, what study is that drawing from?

No reason why they shouldn't but even if they do it's figurative language not literal.

Well than how does that contradict "modern science"?

The fact is not that it contradicts modern science but if the four winds aren't literal then the six days can be figurative too. But as far as that drawing just because you can draw a bunch of lines in a circle doesn't prove anything.

That's what figurative means, it's a way of describing things using non literal descriptive language.

But how do you get millions of years from seven days?

From the earth, science doesn't agree how old the earth is but contemporary techniques have it closer to millions than thousands.

Then these "contemporary techniques" are incorrect.

What interpretation? It clearly says six days (plus the day of rest).

That's your interpretation, there are pages and pages on this forum about the figurative nature of Genesis. What I have been saying this entire time is I can see where you're coming from and all I'm asking is that you not say you have to believe in a literal six days to be a Christian.

I did indeed error in that aspect, but it is dishonoring to God.

I don't understand this article, it says we don't have to agree on whether the word used for day is a single solar day or an unknowable amount of time but then says the exact opposite. In any case please stop citing articles from AIG, I really don't respect them as an institution and don't consider articles from them to be credible or convincing.

I don't think belief in theistic evolution is dishonoring to God, I think it is one of several valid beliefs about man and creation. I choose to stand with some very solid Christian theistic evolutionist, such as C.S. Lewis. There's a lot I don't know about Genesis and the creation of the world and I don't think it's a major issue. I don't say you're dishonoring God by believing in a literal six days and I'd really appreciate it if you'd show me the same respect.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

I don't understand your point. Also doesn't AIG make extensive use of genealogies to determine the age of the earth?

Well, Eleventh, in reference to your earlier statement of theistic evolution, do you believe that God allowed man to evolve from lower life forms, or that, though He let everything else evolve, He specially created man, like it says in the Bible?

I'm not sure about that, I haven't done enough reading on those specific theories.
