Is it wrong for women to wear pants?
I actually don't believe in tithing..... I believe in giving what God lays on your heart to give, and if you look at the OT laws it is around 33 percent that they actually tithed.
If we did follow the OT laws we would have to circumcise. Acts 15 explains why we don't follow the law.

I have a feeling this topic is about to basically transition into the "Women in the Military", and I wouldn't want that, so I'm not even going to address Good Sir Yorp's latest post.
You're being rather ridiculous and offensive, Mr. York, especially when you accused Eleventh Doctor of being in the LGBT. It was a bit funny, though, in that very offensive way.
Why do you automatically associate any form of pants with masculine characteristics? I've seen *ahem* very feminine pants, with little pink glittery things and Hello Kitty sketches.
Also, your Odyssey quote was just ridiculous. You do realize that line was meant to be a joke mocking what was considered immodest 130 years ago, right?
Your argument about legs being "sexy" in America makes no sense. First off, who decided this? Secondly, what makes legs "sexy" on women and not men? Thirdly, why would pants even effect legs at all?

Out of curiosity who is your bishop?
When that verse was written what were women and men garments like?
Second everything that Arnold said.

Priests wore pants.
Reverand Cope is our Bishop.
Part of that percentage was to run the government.

Priests wore pants. So did regular people. I'm wearing pants, does that mean I'm a priest? Priests wore hats. Should women not wear hats?

Um, yeah...
NO! Where did you get that? of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist church.

Priests in the Old Testament never wore pants.
All you're doing is holding to an arbitrary standard because you're unable to accept that we've moved on from the 1800s.

I was just curious, I've only read their creationist articles.
Where does it say that? From my reading I always thought they wore vestments like robes.
There is also a Reverend Cope at the National Cathedral. So which of the Apostles does your bishop trace his succession back to?

Yep
And the STANDARD:
Exodus 28:42
And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
What? Why?

And the other verses that outline other garments for the priests?
Er, what?

Exodus 28:4 "And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash." So should men wear robes? Also can women not wear sashes now?

Monks wear robes.
What do women need a sash for?
Really it is culture, though that is not what we should base our ides on. We are not to be conformed to the world. God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Women have worn dresses in the western culture for hundreds of years. Only recently have Women started wearing pants. It started out with what was called the "boyish look" and has spiraled down from there. Therefor, girls wearing pants are a defiance to God for being a girl.
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Your Biblical standard was the priest in the OT wore pants, that doesn't mean only men can wear them. I mean if we're going by a Biblical standard wouldn't we all need to wear robes of only one material with four tassels on the ends?

Leviticus 19:19 "You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you." So should we use this Biblical standard?
