Lose Yourself by Eminem.

Super inspirational song, but there's some strong language. I don't mind it, but other's might be offended. Anyway, Lose Yourself is one of Eminem's best songs, and probably one of the best songs ever made by any music artist.

Going back to a simple, non-inspirational, juvenile song: I have "Up on The Roof Top" in my head.
"I am not a demon. I am a lizard, a shark, a heat-seeking panther.
I want to be Bob Denver on acid playing the accordion."

I don't really mind the language (in the case of "Lose Yourself", language is really the only problem, but most of his other songs have a bazillion other things you have to worry about) that much either, but even if he wasn't extremely offensive, I still wouldn't listen to his music. I don't get why everybody calls him "the greatest rapper of all time" and "the Bob Dylan of the 2000s". Most of the time he's just praddling on about himself, a pretty dull subject. Or, even worse, he's delivering stupid pop culture jokes that won't make any sense in 5 years. He can rhyme, sure, and it all sounds impressive, but 99.9% of the time he's not saying anything relevant to anybody, except perhaps his close friends and family or the people he's ridiculing.

His voice isn't exactly the best either, and the music itself (as in the backing tracks) is mediocre at best. His fame has mostly depended on his ability to shock people, which, as you know, any old fool can do. He hasn't really had any favorable critical reception in a decade, and most people agree he's waaay past his prime. I know I shouldn't be talking about Eminem at all on this board, and I promise I won't from now on, but I just thought I'd let anyone who's thinking of listening to him know: even if you remove the offensive content, the guy's still nothing special.

You may be wondering why I know anything about this rather pathetic man. Well, the truth is, about nine months ago (incidentally, while I was taking my long break from the SS), I'm sorry to say that I listened to him. Not a lot, and I always listened to the clean versions, but I did. I now realize just how morally damaging his music can be, and I probably haven't heard a single song by him in six months.

Oh, and um... sorry for that tirade. :P I totally understand why you would be inspired by "Lose Yourself", Wretched, and that song in particular is mostly okay, actually, but I was just itching to give my thoughts on Eminem for some reason.

Currently, Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" is stuck in my head (a good, clean song by an admittedly questionable role model), probably because it took me forever to learn the intro on guitar.

I have "Silver Bells" stuck in my head. I've been listening to lots of Christmas songs lately.

I've had miscellaneous Disney Afternoon show theme songs stuck in my head ever since I saw the Nostalgia Critic's "Disney Afternoon" review. He was right; the DuckTales theme is impossible to get out of your head.

Ditto.

I am now thinking of a song called "How many Kings" by Downhere. This is another one of my favorites!

The Theme song from Shaun the Sheep.
It's British claymation with sheep, a watchdog, and some evil pigs. It's mostly targeted for little kids, but it is kinda funny.
