Yeah, the internet can be difficult to communicate with sometimes. It's easy to mistakenly come across as being sarcastic or hurtful, and it's also quite easy to misinterpret someone else's post as being one of the above qualities.

Very true. That's why it's a good idea to openly declare your sarcasm for the world to see, in case the post might be ambiguous in regards to sarcasm. In Novatom's case, however, it wasn't a big deal. She wasn't breaking a big rule, she just made a topic that was a bit spammy, and the admins were as gentle as they could be.
