NaNoWriMo 2014
I'd do it if it weren't for the fact that I'm terrible at plots, and staying motivated to actually finish a story. But I'll be looking forward to reading the stuff that you guys write if you decide to post it on here.

I'm considering it, but I'm not sure I'll even have enough time.

NaNoWriMo starts in two days, and I barely have anything planned. O_O
I have a plot outlined.

I have a confession to make. I had to start mine about 2 or 3 days early because I'm going to be away from writing/internet access for about 3 or more days the last of this month.
and i also ran into a plot hole I couldn't work out in time for nano, so my nano is now a "The Big Six" fanfiction work. I know, I'm ashamed of myself for abandoning my first idea, especially for fanfiction, but it couldn't be helped. Inspiration comes and goes as it wills. I just have to follow wherever it leads.
On the bright side, I think changing directions was a good idea. I'm a little more passionate about fanfiction, especially Big Six fanfiction, than i typically am with other literature works. (I'm a fangirl, can't be helped xD)
Also, today (now yesterday, technically, but still) is the second. I started at 2:00 pm on October 29th, because i was sick and in need of something productive to do, and worked on it until 12 am with about a two or three hour (not straight, but rather an estimate of all the few minute breaks in between) break in between. I worked on it again at 3:00 pm on october 30th, and stopped at 1:00 am, with probably the same amount of break time in between. I worked on it again on October 31st for about three hours, but quit to watch movies with my sister. So maybe not even a full 2 or 3 days in literal time estimates that i started early, but rather, dates.
Yesterday I only wrote 50 or so words, but today I worked on it from 10:30 pm to 1:00 am (I'm usually fully up until midnight/one am during nano month, so dont freak about my time/sleep schedule please =p)
Anyways, when I hit my 2 1/2 (give or take) days mark, i had written 9753 words, being only two pages into chapter two. As of today, I now am at 3 1/2 pages and (I am about 99% this is the correct number, but I may be a couple numbers off in the tens column.. it's late) 10,468 words.
SO. I think I am doing alright so far. Lol. How have you guys progressed?

Lovely mod or admin reading this double post, can you edit this (but delete this question >_>) into my last post right before my last line? I had much more to say but for some reason my dsi gave a character limit... what. Unless this automatically edits into my last post... Then ignore this entire message. =p
ANYway, I might be posting some, or maybe all of my nano as I progress. I'm going to talk to Belle and see if we can get a temporary sub-forum in the gallery, maybe a sub-sub forum off the writing gallery subforum, for those of us doing nano who might want to share/discuss their 2014 nano project without cluttering their usual writing topic. It would keep things organized, and be able to be put into the archives forum if we still want to read anything after November. So there's that crazy idea from yours truly.
I have a freaking lot going on this month, including my 16th birthday on the 26th. (YAY. ahem. sorry. anyway.) so I may not be able to write a whole lot. However, if I keep writing like I have been these past few days, then I'll make it to 50,000 words before anyone knows it, even if I don't get to finish it this month.

So apparently it auto-edited. That's a nifty feature. Anywhom, ignore my request and answer my question. How is your progress so far?
I've never written anything more than 5-7000 words AT MOST, and those were not only rare achievements, but also took AT LEAST a week. So to have written over 9000 words in 2 days, and over 10000 in four? Yeahhh, I'm pretty stinkin' ecstatic. And proud of myself xD
OKAY. finally done talking now. Adios lovelies.

I have 3582 words, if I remember correctly. Average somewhere around 1,700 per day.
So, I was busy this weekend and I just started today. :- I'm going to try to catch up by doubling up today and tomorrow.
Awesome! You should be.Samantha14 wrote: I've never written anything more than 5-7000 words AT MOST, and those were not only rare achievements, but also took AT LEAST a week. What's Big Six, btw?

I'll be cheering you guys on from the sidelines this year, because last year focusing on word count above all didn't really work for my story. I did get 50,000 words so now I know I can do it.
I do plan to use Nano to focus on writing my novel, as opposed to other projects. I really do need an excuse to start focusing on it, or I won't get it done. I may only get planning done; I may get 5000 words; who knows, maybe 50,000.

I'm very interested to know as well, MWE.
I wish I could've done this, but I'm firmly certain I wouldn't have had time anyway.
