An owl and a squirrel are sitting in a tree, watching a farmer go by. The owl turns to the squirrel and says nothing, because owls can't talk. The owl then eats the squirrel because it is a bird of prey.

I don't really like Taylor Swift. A few of her songs are catchy, but I'm not really a "big fan" or anything.

You poor soul... I'm sorry.

She is one of my least favorite artist... and he voice is average (and really whinny). A few months ago, Ben and I listened to Never Ever... We were cracking up. It's so pathetic... and irritating. :geek:

I don't think she's all that bad. There was this big TIME magazine article (Yes, I read TIME Magazine. Aren't I sophisticated?) on how she's "revolutionizing music" by being a fierce "feminist" and pulling her albums from Spotify, and it sort of made sense. I still don't like her music very much, and "Shake It Off" seemed like a pretty pathetic song the one time I heard it, but no one can deny the power she has in the music industry currently.

I can't either, but that doesn't make me respect her any more then I do now.

I actually kind of like her voice, and her songs are pretty catchy. Actually, it sort of annoys me when I find myself humming "You Belong With Me" or whatever.

People still hum "You Belong With Me"? ;)

I agree with you, Novatom. I don't like everything she says and does, but I like most of her songs for what they are, and I don't really think she sounds any more "whiny" than anyone else in the music industry. -shrugs-

For me it's not really "still" because I heard the song for the first time this summer.

I belong with you/ you belong with me/ you're my sweetheart/ I belong with you/ You belong with me/ You're my sweetheart

Wait...wrong song..

A bunch of the girls on my floor are into her newest song, Blank Space, so thanks to them, it's totally stuck in my head.

And thanks to you, it's stuck in mine. :( Thanks a lot.

So it's gonna be forever/Or it's gonna go down in flames/You can tell me when it's over/If the high was worth the pain...

I thought the Frozen soundtrack was the best selling album of the year...

Stats should only really matter to the artist, and possibly their most devoted fans. Bethany doesn't like Taylor Swift's voice, and you do, and no amount of No. 1 albums or Billboard charts are ever going to change either of those things.

Edit: Oh wait, never mind. A quick Google search told me that Taylor Swift beat Frozen in the last week of 2014... darn it. I probably would have listened to it too, if she hadn't removed all her music from Spotify.

No, thankfully that stat goes to a soundtrack that deserves it. ;)

I have Pandora, so I've heard the whole album plus two of the bonus songs that appear on the deluxe. I personally really like it, but I've heard a lot of complaining from people about it. I don't really see what's wrong with 1989 musically; I think that as far as pure sound is concerned, it's one of the best she's done.

She's ok and has some decency, as compared to other "role models".

I actually unironically enjoyT Swizzle. I am really proud of this because my unirionic enjoyment of a famous mainstream artist keeps me from being a hipster :p
I don't like all of her songs. Mean upsets me because it leaves no room for redemption. Never Ever is empowering and makes me laugh. I really like shake it off and a few of her older songs like Never grow up. I'm not a fan of Blank Space although I do think its interesting how she plays with the box people try to put her in.

Why are Wildest Dreams and Bad Blood constantly stuck in my head these days?

Also, TSwift has black hair in her Wildest Dreams music video, and it looks really good in my opinion.
