Really? Wow. I mean, not even Generation 3 did just that. They've always had villains, even if it was really lame. Now in Generation 4, the villains are awesome, and so is the rest of the show.

So if friendship is magic, what's villainy?

Ooh, I just fanboyed about that Loki pony, Rosy Posy. Though, the whole thing was basically fanboy food, being one big spoof. MLP meets LOTR, MLP meets Star Trek, MLP meets Dragonlace, MLP meets Peanuts, MLP meets Narnia... incredibly twilightlicious. That may not have been one of the best official pony comics so far, but it was certainly one of the funniest.

As for your question, no, haven't seen it yet, alas and alack. Don't get TV, and hate watching stuff on youtube. Waiting for netflix. Finis.

We have TV, but we're never around when new episodes come out, so I just wait a few hours and watch them on my phone.

I have, and I personally liked it, though my sister did not. There are many mixed reviews, and it's not near as good as MLP:FiM. So I wouldn't base your opinion of the show on EQG.

Wa ha ha! I mean, that's not funny at all.

Equestria Girls certainly could've been better. The plot revelled in having a typical high-school TV show/movie feel to set it apart from the actual MLP show, and the resulting cliches made the whole thing feel somewhat lazily done. The high school cliches served their purpose, it established Twilight had to deal with human world problems stead of magic pony problems in this special movie, but it was somewhat dull at times.

But other than that, it was quite brilliant. The character designs were great, my initial reaction was indifferent but, once I actually saw the movie, I almost instantly learned to love them. Photo Finish, Vinyl, Derpy, the Wonder Colts (hee hee) Trixie, everyone looked terrific. Especially RAINBOW! *sigh*

The gags were good as ever, the songs rocked ("Iiiit's our big nighhht...."), seeing the characters as human helps you empathize with them in a new way. And it had that special, sentimental feeling a good musical gives you.

And RAINBOW IS SO GORGEOUS! A gorgeous blue person, but still.

I loved the designs too, and Trixie's part as well.
I personally think Equestria Girl's plot line would have been 100% better if Twilight had been on a mission to get the crown back before Sunset Shimmer was crowned an actual princess. Still somewhat cliche, but not some much as the whole "high school dance". The rest of the mane 6 could've been using their various talents, and actually having jobs and such like they do in Ponyville. Just a thought.
( And Sunset Shimmer not going all...wacko at the end...=P )

The anim looks pretty cool. Though I didn't watch it all through, I like to save the excitement for the actual moment of watching the real thing.

Aaah! That update on Rainbow Rocks is terrific! Thanks for sharing, I've seen most of the updates, but not this. Those Bratz doll people are so... gorgeous. I mean, I know I should despise them, but how can I?

Wow. Those singing females exemplified the whole EG in miniature. They look horrific the first time you see them, but you get used to it, and by the end they look amazing. And the singing was amazing.

The lyrics were certainly...a piece of work. I really hope this movie doesn't take itself too seriously on the band front; I'm much more interested in the nature of our three villains than the bands that have been designed to promote merchandising.

It's actually not from Disney. It's from Hasbro and a TV station called The HUB. Though it would be pretty cool if it was Disney..*imagines a MLP ride at Disney World*
