What do we all think about this?
Personally, I believe that prayer does play a large role in healing for sickness, but we can't just pray and hope that it'll get better without doing anything. If the child or whoever is seriously ill, we need to get them medical attention.
Faith Healing
I agree with that - I'm also wondering what you guys think about the idea that if someone is not exhibiting enough faith, they will remain ill.

I think that is a terrible attitude to take and only causes hurt feelings. St. Paul suffered from physical ailments, did he not have enough faith? No, of course not!

I agree - it's not the opinion I hold, but it is one I've heard from several devout Christians.
Sometimes it is not God's will to heal a person. Sometimes it is.

I believe the argument posed by these particular people would follow: Why would God want us to be sick? Would he not want us to be healthy?
