The Apparel & Adornment of Women and Men
Feel free to answer any of the questions I've already asked.
Does hugging constitute sex? Or even sexual intent? Is the only place for a hug inside marriage?
Are you suggesting that people hug other people in order to eventually mate?
Why do men hug other men? Why do women hug other women?

OH MY GOSH IM WEARING PANTS. ACTUALLY NO. WORSE THAN PANTS. SHORTS. =O
And I do not believe I am sinning in the least. I hate these debates -- they're really sexist. But, alas, they must be discussed.

Spoon: Men can hug men in friendship - not sexually though. The same with women. But, a married man hugging a strange woman is a sin - adultery. Besides, someone said that she admitted that she hugged with men to long (she was not a singer, etc., but) she realized that she was almost marrying them.

Do you think that everyone who hugs someone of the opposite sex does so sexually?

No, I think it's all right to do so to his wife, but what about married-men hugging half-naked women whom they are not married to?

I'm pretty sure that was helping Mary -- I have no interest in that club or any club at the moment. *waits for Pound Foolish to attack her about ERK and then stand up for her being called a prostitute. ...she hopes.* I do care very much about a good debate, though. Thus, here I am.
I do not come out for peoplez I don't know on the interwebz. This isn't a dating service you know. *flips hair*
Anywaaaay. I seriously think it's up to the person and what God speaks to them about. What lines He marks and says not to cross, or give the okay. In the end, it will be up to God to judge. Right now we need to be worrying more about the heart and soul, rather than judging the dress. If we are really spending that much time fussing about a persons outward appearance, maybe we should be checking our own hearts with God, hmm?
EDIT: CHRISTIAN SIDE HUG. ;D

What in your mind is acting like prostitutes? Showing any skin? Including the neck? I mean you have literally said you cannot look at a picture of a woman whose neck is exposed. Do women have to literally cover everything but their face? And why is leaving their face exposed okay? Could that tempt men too?

I don't understand the reasoning that hugs are evil. I am pretty sure, once I am married, that I will be able to trust my husband to hug other women, without considering it adultery or some such thing. If you can't trust your husband/wife to be around people of the opposite sex without lusting, I think you have bigger issues than hugs.
Also, a SSK...wut..? I highly HIGHLY doubt you will get anyone else ever to join..seriously...

^^^ I agree with 11th's questioning, and Belle's reasoning. I've hugged guys before. Granted, I'm not married, or dating, but I still have. It wasn't sexual. I hug girls all the time. It isn't homosexual. I hug my sister and family. It isn't incest. Hugs themselves aren't sexual. They can be used for friendship, comfort, understanding, joy... Again, it's all about the person and their motives. If their motive is always sexual, then they have bigger problems to work through. Do you think Jesus never hugged anyone? I know you're fixing to say "Well Jesus was perfect and couldn't struggle with Sexual temptations" Lol, nope. Jesus was human. It says in the Bible he was tempted. But He was also God, and through God He didn't give into temptations. If we're struggling with sexual temptations, we can do the same thing; rely on God. Through him, nothing is impossible. So we can either give into the flesh, or ask help from the spirit. It says in the Bible that God has us in his loving embrace/arms. I read that as a hug. I don't think God lusts after us, do you?
Also, Dollish, more people would join than you think XD maybe not on here, but more than you think.

By strange women, what do you mean? Do you mean any women a man is not married to, or do you mean women dancing inappropriately at a nightclub?John Henry wrote:Spoon: Men can hug men in friendship - not sexually though. And who said that? You can't keep giving us facts without a verifiable source. It reduces your credibility.

A strange woman is in other words: a harlot. Indeed, these women that dress scantily are harlots, for they do so to allure men.Mr. Whit's End wrote:By strange women, what do you mean? Yes, hugging harlots in nightclubs or whatnot can cause lust. What do you think about a guy giving a female friend of his a brief hug to greet her or for any non-sexual reason?
