But it seems to me, that you have determined to keep your mindset narrow, and your views closed off from suggestion. Perhaps you can just accept that though you may chose to stay tightly bound in loyalty to the KRE, others have decided to take a different path, with different values... and that's okay.

Because the castle we picked out had the space, sheltering, and defensible qualities that we desired, but the downside was that it was off in the countryside with no plumbing or electricity.

My idea - it's not so bad to respect an AIO character versus hating on her. (Like you haven't already emphatically rejected that before)

There's one technicality that apparently your exalted leader hasn't informed you of as of yet. And that technicality is...We don't hate Emily. At least I don't. However, in response to the first part of your statement, in my honest opinion, there's nothing to respect about Emily. So I don't see the wisdom in respecting an annoying/irritating character.

Path- again, figurative, of acceptance and peace filled community... (Yeesh, I can't start sounding too hippie, huh?) Maybe just consider what it is that deep down, each group values most.
