Whats your Worship Style?
Well I believe in lifting up my hands and dancing and jumping around. And that's my style I guess

Oh, okay:) I was just wondering...when you were talking about your worship style, it made me think of some people we know who (I think) are either Pentecostals or a lot like them and they have the same type of worship style in their church. Anyways, they are very interesting people. I would like to visit a pentecostal church some time!HannahJ. wrote:Yup! But we don't have a ton of rules. Yeah! That would be quite unusual...I come from a Mennonite background, do you know what they are? Anyways...they are very quiet and reserved people. But I don't think its wrong either way...as long as our worship is sincere and focused on the Lord:)HannahJ. wrote:You should! It is very different compared to other churches just be prepared to hear people speaking in tongues.

What do you mean by "worship style"?
Do you think you know music? Guess the hints at the end of each of my posts in A Musical Journey. (The name's a link. You can click it.)

My mom said those kids were from a united pentecostal church, and they were just singing a bunch of little worship songs...anyways, I think their church does the speaking in tongues and all that stuff as well.HannahJ. wrote:Yeah! Was it Southern Gospel? Not all Pentecostal churches sing that way.

I usually like to sing, not obnoxiously and incredibly loud, but at a reasonable level. Hymns are so powerful. I've noticed they give you more emotions then any other type of music.

We don't do drums, electric guitars, etc. We have a cello, a few violins, a piano, somtimes guitar, trumpet, and tambourine.
We do praise music, a few hymns, and such. We raise our hands, clap (it depends on the song), dance (again, depends on the song), and jump. (depends on the song.) We do a transition in the middle of worship time, from fast praise music, where we clap, to slower music, that doesn't have the tambourine. Also, we pray in tongues, mostly in the middle of worship, during the transition. Also, we do prophecies.
Fascinating, isn't it? :p
