Normally we do a Turkey Trot (or 5k) Thanksgiving morning, but this year, we aren't going to because none of my family is really in good enough shape to do it. Our church has a 59 minute Thanksgiving service at around noon, and there's a pickup flag football game at a park down the street just after, so we'll probably do that.

Normally for Thanksgiving, we travel to our grandparents and cousins houses, but this year, my grandparents are coming here. I am really excited because our relatives rarely come to visit us because it is a 12 hour drive.

Sooooo, I did sound for church today, under the supervision of of our main sound guy, and he says that I can get my own week of the month starting in the new year. It's kind of a big deal because I've been training since March and I finally get to be a full-fledged member of the sound team. Also, he says since a lot of people will be out of town for Christmas, I can do our Christmas Eve service! I'm excited and also really scared that I'll mess up.

I'm a member of the sound team at my church. Me and my other friend have sort of been in charge since the other guy who was doing the sound moved away.

Oh, the glamour of making the turkey and pies. I got to do dishes for the extent of the thanksgiving dinner preparation and for quite some time after. A wire oven rack covered in dried turkey juices? Not fun.
