Yay! I'm glad you like it, AS! :D

Had you heard it before? Or was that the first time?

I use homemade toothpaste for the same reason, Metal. About the fluoride, I mean.

I have never heard that fluoride is poison, so forgive me for my skepticism. I use fluoride toothpaste and fluoride mouth rinse (orthodontist prescribed) and I am not dead yet (or am I, muahaha).

I have doubts that fluoride ITSELF'll actually kill ya, but it's been shown to influence cancer. Plus, after an extended period of using fluoride based products people can get fluorosis from it. I've seen pics online, and it's not pretty. O.o It's not too late, though, get rid of it while you can!

Did you read about this in an article or a book? I'd like to see it before I swear it off completely.

I don't know if I'd be allowed to show you pics of peoples fluorosis(because of grossness?) but I'll PM you an article or two.

Okay, so I did some research on my own and found that fluorosis is caused by fluoride in the body (the toothpaste or mouth rinse would have to be swallowed before it could make a difference). Most cases come from children drinking water that has been too highly fluoridated. Also the risk of fluorosis completely vanishes after 4 years of age. As for cancer, again, the toothpaste or mouth rinse would have to be swallowed, and I read several articles that show that every study done about this proved either inconclusive (because the study groups were too small) or showed no connection between fluoride and cancer. Another thing, the only cancer it has ever even been hesitantly linked to is osteosarcomas, and only about 400 Americans are diagnosed with it every year.
Oh, and if you want gross, look up pictures of tooth decay caused by inadequate brushing.

*Was just saved the trouble of making up a PM* Thank you. :D

Putting all points aside and just speaking logically, Fluoride was used as an insecticide and a quite effective method of...Killing rats. o_O (I'm sure Oliver hates fluoride now...XD) And yet, people ignore this and smear this stuff all over their teeth in the belief that it'll help. You don't technically swallow it, but the mouth is the most absorbent part of your body, so I'm sure you'll "ingest" some of it. (Make sure not to swallow too much, or you'll have to go to a poison control center. O_O Fancy that...)
Also, there's mountainous places like Tibet, where people aren't exposed to fluoride toothpaste, and have great teeth. *Shrugs* Apparently it's not necessary to scrub dangerous chemicals on your teeth.

Anyways...You now know my thoughts, and can make of them what you will. :D

I use fluoride tooth paste even though i know of it's dangers,
I have see many people who lived a long and happy life using normal toothpaste, it didn't seem to effect them too much, and I can't stand "home made" toothpaste /powder.
No, I have never had a Carolina burger.
Best burger I ever had was a BBB burger (that stands for Burgus Burger Bar, a food chain in Israel, but expensive)
http://burgus.co.il/he/home/default.aspx
My mom complains every time we go out to eat and I order a burger, she claims that there is no point to go to various places if i am only going to get a burger EVERY time, I say that every burger is special and every one is different, every time you eat one it is a whole new amazing experience. I probably don't believe that myself, I am probably just afraid to get something new :P

Sandwiches are wonderful
Sandwiches are fine!
I like sandwiches, I eat them all the time!

Wellll...
When me and my sister were little (Me 0-4) we lived in a house that had water with fluoride added. Part of the time while we lived there we did not filter our water, meaning that toddler/baby me was exposed to a lot of fluoride, and though I've had some weird teeth issues, (none of them being caused by unhealthy gums/teeth) to this day I have not had a single cavity (this coming from the girl whose dad works in a candy factory). I have read some interesting stuff on fluoride studying the Periodic Table of the Elements, but the amount of fluoride in toothpaste is not enough to kill you. Also, when my dad was growing up, they had no fluoride to use, and everyone in his family has had terrible gum/teeth problems. The opposite goes for my mom, who did have fluoride growing up. So to say that it is poisonous to use toothpaste wouldn't exactly be true.

Have you ever pulled a prank or just jumped out and scared anyone?

Ben was outside working, with his headphones on, and I went to tell him it was time for dinner. I get up right behind him and jump right to his side and say "Ben! Dinner!" and he jumps out of his skin! Then starts to pretend to beat me up. That was my humor for the day!

Yesterday was the first part of my family's road trip to California. We spent almost 16 hours in the car. It's been a while since I've been in the car that long, so I'm out of practice being in that small of a space with my siblings (all of whom have coughs =/). The idea is to get as far west as we can initially, and stop near any of the things that are closer to where we live, because we can see them more easily.

To begin with, we drove by the world's largest wind chime (55 ft). :P We drove right next to the St. Louis arch (everyone but my yougest brother has been up in it already). In Kansas, I saw the most treeless and flattest landscape I've ever seen so far. It's also quite cold here right now, and very windy. My father was born here, so it's interesting to finally get to see Kansas.

Today we will drive through Colorado. Unfortunately, the Focus on the Family headquarters or Whit's End didn't make it onto the final list. :( CO is supposed to have gotten snow, so that will be pretty to see.

Oooh, snow? I've been waiting for snow here for weeeeeeeks now. Technically, we had our first snow, but it was while I was in Kansas...and it all melted by the time we got home. So it doesn't count. :noway:

(And that's interesting, it was exactly the same way when we went through Kansas..Extremely windy, and thus quite cold.)

I hope you're having fun anyways. :)
