I believe that nothing extraordinary will happen to them for the next few albums. Afte that an opportunity will probably open for them to become foster parents possibly. Although I myself hope that they will adopt, because of what the producers said in an official aio podcast, it's not likely. What do you think?

I agree that they won't have anything significant happen to them regarding kids, so close to when they found out that they can't have kids. To some people, it might seem a little hurtful.C-guy wrote:I believe that nothing extraordinary will happen to them for the next few albums. When Jason goes back to Odyssey he could bring Sue. Then E&K could adopt her.
Sorry, but ick. I have no interest in Sue returning.

I'm not sure that it's a done deal, honestly. I'm not sure that they'll adopt either though. Check out my The Future of AIO article on my website to learn more about my predictions for Eugene and Katrina,Wooton and Penny, and others!Jason wrote:In album fifty five, we find out that E&K cannot have kids (To mend or Reapair) and a look at them taking care of kids (Child's Play). Do you think they'll do more with this storyline? What do expect might happen next?
I don't think they'll ever have permanent kids of their own. But maybe Everett could come and stay with them for a while. You thoughts?

If I remember correctly, they ARE going to have them adopt someone.
I don't remember where they said it, I have a friend, who writes them a lot, I think it was him who told me that that's what they said.

Imagine this: E and K adopt a five year old read head girl with Katrina's sweetness and Eugene's brains.
Aww... thats so cute!!!

I read that as "Eugene's braids"shnoodlec wrote:Imagine this: E and K adopt a five year old read head girl with Katrina's sweetness and Eugene's brains.

But it sounds like a cute idea..personally, I think it'd be really interesting if they fostered a child with a learning disability though.

Wonderful sounding idea. But are you talking about Down syndrome or autism or something else? Because we did kind of explore the mentally handicapped idea with Lester. I know some people who have learning disabilities, but are not necessarily slow in all areas, and I think that would probably be the best route to pursue.

I meant dyslexia or some such thing. Something where it would be hard for them to learn, and a completely new experience for Eugene. (I think Katrina would have probably already tutored several kids with dyslexia-like things, so it wouldn't be as new for her)The Old Judge wrote:Wonderful sounding idea. Hmm, that sounds too much like Jenny. Granted, Jenny was awesome. But we don't want characters too glaringly similar. Though if they handled it well, she wouldn't have to be too similar.shnoodlec wrote:Imagine this: E and K adopt a five year old read head girl with Katrina's sweetness and Eugene's brains.

Okay, if you're right, that is beyond fantastic. I mean, if I was positive that's true, I'd literally run and tell my sister so we could hop up and down together.NateVONgreat wrote:If I remember correctly, they ARE going to have them adopt someone.

Scary. Although Eugene's hair is long enough long enough for braids. (Lightbulb.) Fan art time! Now who would be most likely to tie Eugene's hair into braids? Besides Fodo, I mean.God's Girl wrote:I read that as "Eugene's braids"
That could be a lot more interesting than the Meltsners predictably spawning a brainiac Eugene and Katrina clone. A child with learning disabilities would be the perfect foil for Eugene and drama would be easy to squeeze from such a situation.God's Girl wrote:I meant dyslexia or some such thing. I think it would be great if they adopted Buck. Katrina had such a way with him! I don't really know about Eugene.
If they did end up pursuing it, it would be just as hard of a adjustment as with Kelly and the Washington's.

Mmm, I find your statement somewhat false, Bethany. Please don't take offense, but here's why I think it wouldn't be as hard for the Meltsner's to adopt as it was for the Washingtons to take Kelly.
Adoption normally happens at a younger age, when the children are more malleable and can adapt and learn to love you real easy. Foster care is different. It's mainly for those older kids who either lost their home later in childhood or missed the prime adoption age for whatever reason. Kelly came to the Washington family as a 12-13 year old girl, which is already a dangerous age. (No offense, but all the hormones and drama.
) Now, there's a family in my church who have adopted two foster children, and one of them seems to be doing well. They've taken in numerous foster children, but only adopted the two to my knowledge. One of the girls in particular is somewhat like Kelly. Coming to a different home for an indefinite period of time at an older age is rough. And being bounced around before, like most foster kids are, sears their emotions.

I didn't say it would be easy. I know that kind of thing is a very hard adjustment.
A family at our church just adopted a Russian girl (she's probably 13, 14, maybe 15) and she hardly can speak English. (Please pray for them, by the way.

I might be missing what you were saying. If so, tell me.
