Perhaps. I'm still not convinced that Shona's character is Connie's sister. I do think that it could be some secret that she didn't know like OJ said. Perhaps a disease that carries through genetics. The theme for the album is "trusting God in life". While a broad topic, if you remember the original title for Life Expectancies was Ripples. Perhaps Ripples is pertaining to choices and how they effect more than the one who makes the decision. Similar to the idea of Chain Reactions.

I'm really curious how the nurse and Doctor Graham play into the episode. There's no real evidence that Bill plays a major role in the episode, however since it' centered around family it's very possible I spose.

Yep, Carol is mentioned in Father's Day. A moving episode for me, on a variety of levels. To go along with the "maybe he married" January, "Jan" for short. Wow, that would be ironic actually.

But is the marriage and a possible sister the reason for the whole big deal about #57. Maybe something is wrong with Bill? Or maybe June dies some how and Connie is left figuring out what to do?

I am excited at the prospect of more Connie episodes I have been feeling like her character is a little stuck where she is and needs something to help develop her a little more, no matter what that thing may be. The whole Mitch episodes with "Something Old" and "Something New" could even have been symbolic of her letting go of something so she could move forward with someone, someplace, or something else.

I am interested in seeing what happens in #57, not going to lie =)

(also, I like the little Eugene- like character near Connie in the box on the couch.)

Actually, when it comes to this "Life Expectancy" episode, I would draw parallels to the "Touch of Healing/Where Is Thy Sting?" episodes. It would appear they're both medical dramas. Both are about Connie's family, and both include Bill Kendall. The only question I have is: Will this three-parter achieve the power and emotion of "A Touch of Healing" and "Where Is Thy Sting?" or will it fall flat in its emotion like several other AIO dramas in the past couple years have? (I'm not saying these recent AIO dramas I'm referring to were bad episodes, I just thought they didn't handle the emotional scenes very well.)

That's interesting, what episodes had poor emotion? Very few come to mind... In any case, based on the emotional moments since the relaunch at least, there's no reason to think it won't be a a good Odyssey tear jerker. Witness A Penny Saved, Childish Things, Never For Nothing, and so on.

"A Penny Earned"? That was a good tear-jerker? The whole thing about Penny leaving just to come back seemed a little sappy to me, and as for "Never For Nothing", the "emotion" was quite contrived, and I left feeling more puzzled and annoyed than sorrowful or inspired when I finished listening to that episode. Don't get me wrong, I actually do like "A Penny Saved" and "A Penny Earned", (though I'm not sure I can say that for "Never For Nothing") I just think as far as emotion goes, they leave a lot to be desired. That's why I'm hoping "Life Expectancy" will have genuine emotion. No contrived stuff.

I'm not sure what you mean by "contrived stuff". For me, Never for Nothing is quite possibly my favorite in 54. It may seem slightly typical, but the whole story totally worked for what they were going for. Esperanza loving Juan unconditionally, and ending up dying for the sake of helping Juan. It may not always happen that way in every day life, but the point was to express unconditional love, and that's what she did. In any event, if Life Expectencies comes close to the power of Never for Nothing, it'll be a great show. However, I'm just hoping that whatever they do with Connie's character isn't for the worse...
