Emily...
I have to say, This character has been one of the most debating, Misunderstood characters in what possibly could be all of AIO history!
Many people have disliked Emily, For what I like to call " The annoyance terms"
They think she is...
1. Annoying (Hence the name)
2. Bossy
3. Always expecting everyone to follow her.
4. A know it all.
These are the only reasons I can give that could even be remotely close to having a firm foundation behind it. I suppose they could be explained, Depending on the person's views and tastes.
Then, There are the Emily-Lovers. They love Emily for what they like to call "The wonderful terms"
They feel she is...
1. Great! They can't get enough of her!
2. She is more humble than people give her credit for.
3. She is a great leader. But, She is willing to listen to others when needed.
4. She's incredibly intelligent.
These can be backed up with evidence and a firm foundation by multiple episodes.
I find that this is fairly easy to do, If you put you're mind to it.
Then, Finally, There are the the middle-floaters. Yes, You've guessed it.
The one's who feel Emily's okay.
That she is not pure perfection...
But, She is not a blight upon the face of AIO either.
I was one of these as well... Notice that I said, Was...
I have been thinking alot about the character of Emily lately...
How she has progressed, And "evolved" so to speak, Into a very, Well, Nice
character. She is learning that she cannot know everything.
She really does care for her family and friends,
She may not understand that she can't do everything herself,
But, She does care.
I relate Emily to my friend and I...
I try to help my family and friends anyway I can,
And, I get discouraged when I can do nothing for them...
My friend is the same way,
Except she will do anything to help...
Including blackmail.
We both love mysteries, And try to find answers.
I'd have to say, I can relate to Emily a lot more now than I used to.
She is trying to find her place, Feeling confused and needing leadership.
I feel the same way currently, As well as always.
Sure she makes mistakes, But, I like that. It makes her more realistic.
So, After a long and thorough thinking decision...
I must now say...
