In a place that is the contrary of your opinion.Whittifer wrote:I enjoy stating my opinion.

Exactly! What fun is it stating things when everyone says: Yep. I agree.
It's more fun to post in a place where everyone completely opposes the points you make.

Now, now Aftershocker, I can see how you might get excited about this klub and get caught up in its lies, but let us be reasonable, civilized human beings for just a moment. Emily is not the worst character ever, but you can't deny she has many major flaws in her character. If you'd like, I shall present you with some educated and intelligent arguments against Emily. I'm not trying to force my opinion on you, as this is a free country and you can think whatever you want, but I think you should hear the other side of an argument before you jump into one of these klubs, don't you?
If you are dissatisfied with this klub, we would warmly welcome you over at ESK!

I respect you all as individuals, but this club just isn't right about anything. First of all, Emily is a bit stereotypical in her detective role, and her mysteries can be rather boring and predictable. Secondly, her so-called 'friends' are more like servants. Her relationship with Matthew is strange and unrealistic, and don't even get me started about Buck. Emily is also hopping around so much we never get a true glimpse of her character, we only get a stubborn, prideful, temperamental, whiny, annoying little girl. She should either be used sparingly, be remodeled completely, or simply be taken off the show. This is just my opinion, of course!

And of course, we don't really mind much of your opinion over here. Oh my, that sounded a bit harsh, didn't it? Well, the truth does hurt a bit, sometimes. Do tell me, though, why do you think her relationship with Matthew seem unrealistic? And her friends are like servants? Huh?

This is a fact: Boys would not constantly hang around girls at that age, (unless they had a crush on them or something) particularly if the girl is bossy and rude. And yes, she does treat her friends like servants. In fact, she doesn't have any friends! =P

Ok, what about Priscilla. She's been friends before. And although, not much connection, Olivia and Emily I could see as being friends.
My church has no girls my age, so I'm hanging with the guys all the time, and they don't seem to mind. Sometimes it's awkward, but I have a great time with them, and they really are my friends. I'm there roughing it up with the best of them, playing sides on the trampoline in my skirt, trying to beat them, having fun. I know you're thinking about it the other way, CT, but I think the guys at my church somewhat consider me their friend, and I hang out with them.
Plus, having a detective agency would be awesome! Even small mysteries could be fun.
Re-modeling her would completely redo her development.
What you described of Emily is exactly the picture of all my flaws. That's who I am. But I have a good side too. If you saw what I did, how much I whined, what I thought, you would think me as dreadful as Emily. If I was a character, you would hate me as much, if not more, as Emily.
Now, it may seem that I'm leaning to E.R.K., but I don't think Emily rules. Not really at all. I like her somewhat, but you don't hear me saying that she's not annoying, or mean, or treats her friends badly sometimes.
I will be active in both E.R.K. and E.S.K. Think of me as a lurker. On both sides, but on neither side. I am not a part of the clubs, but you can welcome me as an unofficial member.

An excellent post, G. And, incidentally, as a child, I preferred female company to boys. Frankly, the things little boys do aren't all that interesting... they tend to consist of anything that comes into the mind that consists of poking, running, and attacking. Very fascinating. Not. I enoyed those things to some degree, but boys never want to do anything but.
You sound reallly neat, Joyful. Competing with boys all the time, out of necessity or otherwise, is very cool.
I realize a lot of boys, Mr. Thinker, wouldn't hang out with a girl as a bestie. However, Matthew is a very mature, grown up person. He doesn't care about Emily being a girl, nor that she's bossy. He cares that they are loyal, have fun together, and that Emily, truth be told, is really a kind, lovable person.
Unlike some...
Anyhow, good to unofficially-have you, Joyful.

I really think joy has a point. Sure, I'm a girl, but I am a lot like Camilla, not a sissy, more tom-boy-ish, Pretty athletic, most of the time couldn't care less about her appearence, but it will show up, you know the type, like me. Guys, EmilyMEANS well, and if you are tired of her detective thing, listen to Great Expectations again, but, I think it is not fair, to say that Emily is to busy playing detective to grow up, because thing like that, Detective,ARE her thing, she knows how to solve problems, she has a passion, she know what she want to do, and she is good at it. Matthew, she is a little bossy towards him, but she like leading, like me. I have a personality like Emily's, but do you TEHC and ESK members, hate me? No, you don't. Because, I have a good side. There is more to me than the sometimes ocurring, bossiness, there is me. Emily is a person. Sort Of. She is not a Problem, SHE EXISTS! These silly klubs, that hate Emily are wrong. Emily rocks, and we all know it!!!!!!!!! Down With the TEHC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the ESK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
