Hannah! I just memorized the Beatitudes! I am so glad you posted that!
I have a tendancy to attempt to be self-sufficient, and somewhat independent, which sometimes results in a lack of trust for God. Thus, here are some of my favorite verses:
The Lord is my Light and salvation-
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life-
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalms 27:1 (I have the rest of the passage memorized, but didn't want to take up space here...)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you may take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (part of Beatitudes, same message applies here...)
