Hello people!
Well I might quite possibly begin a blog in the next few weeks. Which is exciting. I'll post a link to my profile and probably back on on this thread as well as Sites Around Town.
The intent is to cover all areas of complete Adventures in Odyssey addiction. It will include sketches, fanfiction I've kept locked up, a host of memes, and in-depth reviews of nearly everything. Perhaps a song or two as well...I still need to work out the details.
I have never done anything of the sort, so it might be slow at first.
Suggestions and information are very welcome, more like needed. And I would ask you to please give it a chance when introduced. Thank you, that is all.

Go for it, GJFH! I had one for around 2 years and it was pretty fun to do. Just don't try and force yourself to write anything; most of the time it doesn't go too well, at least for me xD It's good to set goals though! Once you make it, stick the link in your signature or something and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of views from us:)
An owl and a squirrel are sitting in a tree, watching a farmer go by. The owl turns to the squirrel and says nothing, because owls can't talk. The owl then eats the squirrel because it is a bird of prey.
I had an AIO blog. It was fun, but I abandoned it about a year or so ago, since I didn't really have my heart in it anymore. It got pretty popular, though.
The drama on campus is unreal today. There's a hate preacher with a Westboro type sign, and a feminist group organized a walk (basically a march where they wear as much or as little clothing as they want) and were chanting "My body, my rules." There's a crowd of people arguing with the hate preachers, neither group convincing the other of anything, plus people holding up a rainbow flag, and another person with a homemade "God loves you" sign. It's been interesting. =p
My college is in Indiana. I think we tend to be less conservative than the states in the Deep South, but most people still come from a Republican Christian background. It's not typically this crazy; I think the hate preachers came because of the feminist march, which was organized in advance, and the other people were protesting the hate preachers.

You'd think I'd see more of this; my college is in Florida, which is...not exactly what one might call a bastion of conservative values. It must be because the campus is so large; I think the most cohesive activism I've ever seen was a Black Lives Matter march last fall, and even then it wasn't that big of a deal; just a small crowd of maybe 50-75 students. Either we're just really chill or I don't get out much.
it's not about 'deserve'. it's about what you believe. and i believe in love
Yeah, I was surprised to see this much activism in one day here, because normally things are really quiet.
Does your college tend to lean to the left or right? I know Florida is a swing state, but universities are usually more liberal. I feel like my college is pretty balanced, but definitely is more liberal than the surrounding area.
You have the front side of the sign, which isn't so bad:
but of course you have to throw in this as well:
I stood and watched while the drama unfolded. Someone brought a set of bagpipes and played over the preacher, and there were plenty of people arguing with him as well. I was privileged enough to hear all kinds of sexism, racism, and general bigotry from the preacher, including telling female students that "he didn't permit them to speak," and informing a black student that "his heart was as black as his face," as well as all kinds of fun stuff that I can't post here. It was simultaneously disheartening to see how hateful people can be, but also encouraging watching students come together against him.
