What is your favorite "genre" of AIO episodes?

Post

I am so pumped for Album 56: The Grand Design because of two things: 1). First of all, Jason is coming back as normal Jason like Albums 22-27 when Whit was gone to the Middle East, and Joanne Allen is coming back after a six album absence. Second of all, Whit's INVENTIONS are back!!!!! Hallelujah!!!!! Invention episodes are some of my favorites, along with typical every day Odyssey episodes. Album 56 has both of those, so I'm expecting it to be a most loved album.

But, anyway, invention episodes are some of my favorite, which is what this topic was meant for. Talk about your favorite episodes and why they're your favorite. My favorites are invention episodes. Whit has designed so many inventions that not only are fun, but also give you Christian principles that help further the lives of the characters and the listeners.

Odyssey is very diverse when it comes to genres and that's what makes it so likeable. While I enjoy all the other genres, I really enjoy finding out more and more about the characters pasts. And I really enjoy finding out about Whit's past. With his age, he has so many stories. Silent Night is one of my favorite Whit's past episodes.

Come on! No one likes the sagas! Their totally better than a two-three part action episode!

Oh, The Old Judge. I have found a KINDRED spirit! :)
As I'm sure you've seen, inventions are my favorite too!
But, C-guy, sagas ARE a close second. (The AIO team is REALLY good with those.)

I love the suspense and not knowing whats going to happen in sagas, and the way that whit handles the mysteries. I LOVE novacom!

Here's to the sagas! They give us a chance to see our favorite characters deal with danger. Who wouldn't geek out over that? More importantly, through that danger, we see the characters grow and change, and we discover new sides to them. Who knew that Emily could be such a giggly, cute, helpless lover? Or that Whit was an ex-government agent? Or that Tasha would open up and tell Jason she loved him? Or that...

Ugh! I hated it when Emily was a giggle, cute, helpless lover! It was awful to listen to her when she was around Buck.

Hmmm. 101, I understand where you are coming from. Thank you for not using the a-word. I am very fond of children's entertainment. Passionately. I read Tintin, Asterix, and Uncle Scrooge comics. AND I watch Ducktales and Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers. A LOT. In fact, a large part of the reason my young sibs like them is that I never grew out of them. I'm used to hearing Chip and Dale argue in chipmunk. I'm used to Huey, Dewy, and Louie finishing each others' sentences in cutesy duckling voices. And I've learned to love it. Children's entertainment voices have their own brand of subtlety and sophistication. Many like me love AIO partly because we kinda live in a children's world. We don't consider ourselves above the fun of a duck with billions of dollars talking in a Scottish accent. (Done by Alan Young, aka Jack Allan, incidentally.) So I'm sorry the giggling drove you crazy, but that's part of AIO's world. A children's world. It's really not made for older listeners. Some choose to be "annoyed." I prefer to admit I'm a child.

That is too hard a choice! I think there should be multiple choices! I chose Action/Adventure, but I don't always want to listen to those... some times i want an regular everyday adventure, or sometimes i want to listen to a saga. It depends on my mood.

I like sagas, but I prefer invention episodes. And I like action/adventure at times too. Kinda like Liz.
Mostly I prefer slice-of-life episodes, where you can relate.

AIO always needs sagas. They keep me on the edge of my seat and get me craving the next episode. Without sagas AIO would have been lost. It would have lost that progressive story line that keeps shows running. Without sagas AIO wouldn't be the great show that it is today. :) :D

I must beg to differ. Sagas are rocking as red violet, but the regular ones are best.

I really like all the different genres! But if I was going to pick one (which I do every night and when I do my school) it would be the one part normal odysseys. (Wooton's Broken Pencil Show! hehe) :D
