Isaiah the Ox wrote:/me is utterly offended.
That was the point.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Why did you choose those three?
So. I'm giving this from the perspective of an online person distantly knowing another online person, so I may not be completely accurate in my descriptions. :P

T.S. is very levelheaded and sensible. One of his admiring qualities is that he is smart without being a know-it-all-in-your-face. :P Tiger has her quirks, but she's responsible and dependable, and stable. (Or so I think)

Ox (is mature for his age, I might add  ) He's mature in the aspect that he's got a lot of self-control and is wise about what he can and cannot do, even if fame and fortune is around the corner.
Bethany Shepard wrote:I'm not on your "most mature" list?! I'm TOTALLY more mature than Ox!!

(Actually I was shocked to realize how mature Ox is for his age. :anxious: But I couldn't deny the facts  )
Bethany Shepard wrote:Who's your 5 favorite people on SS?
Eleventh, Ox, Helios, Dom and Mandy. :wacky:
Bethany Shepard wrote:Do you see yourself wanting to be in charge of SS someday?
Yeah, I'm here to dethrone Belle. That's been my whole plan all along.

In seriousness though, I'd probably enjoy moderating, but I'm not sure if I'd have the skill to be an admin or anything like Belle. :P

No one will ever be able to fill my shoes. I have super small feet and everyone else's feet would be too big.

Plus no one can be anything like me. :P

Anywho, do you prefer the color orange or the color yellow?

Okay, don't be ridiculous. I was going to leave you out all together because you belong in a different sphere than just "SS friends" but I couldn't choose between four and five other people, soooo... oh wait, Black Ghost is number five. There. You can reign supreme. :noway:

Miss Friendship wrote:Cultures beliefs as in little things that the culture has adopted that aren't necessarily scriptural beliefs.
Oh geez, when you said "reconsidering all her cultures beliefs" I thought you meant something serious.
Miss Friendship wrote:Fine. I'll give this a shot so then I can become the brunt of your torture after I'm WRONG. :x
You believe a woman should be able to choose murder or life because it's her baby.
First off, that belief system is about it being "her body", not her baby. ;) Secondly, after ALL THIS TIME...you prove you know nothing about me.
Miss Friendship wrote:Jesus says divorce is never okay unless the spouse is living in constant adultery and fornication
Constant? So it's okay if he has a fling with his secretary every New Year's Eve, so long as it's not CONSTANT like rabbits?
Miss Friendship wrote:
Dom wrote:What would you do if you and your husband disagreed on how to discipline your children, and you were ALREADY married and the kids were already popping out?
I would OBEY him, and TRUST God to work out the details.
So if he was into using his belt until they had bruises or locking them in a closet for the night, you would obey and trust.
Miss Friendship wrote:
Dom wrote:How old do your siblings have to be to drink coffee?
Okay, so this is really frustrating. I had to wait till I was FIFTEEN EXACTLY. But now, everyone can have coffee whenever they please and my two year old little sister has it all the time. #firstbornproblems
I get why you have issues with THAT commandment now. Your parents sound... Um. There's not a nice way to put this so I'll just smile and nod and walk away in disgust.
Miss Friendship wrote:I'm still confused. I think I said that was another "option" rather than a divorce. Neither are desired in a marriage.
You said it as if you would prefer it over divorce.

Dom wrote:Oh geez, when you said "reconsidering all her cultures beliefs" I thought you meant something serious.
Like, gasp, doubting God's existence? Nope. I don't go back on my allegiance once it's made.
Dom wrote:First off, that belief system is about it being "her body", not her baby.
So it's not her baby? O.o Well for you, this is a valid belief. But for those who claim to be Christians, it sickens me when they use this example as it's "my body." REALLY? I thought your body was Gods? I thought you knew your God hates the killing of the innocent?
Dom wrote:Constant? So it's okay if he has a fling with his secretary every New Year's Eve, so long as it's not CONSTANT like rabbits?
No that's not okay. But if it happened once, and he sincerely repented, there is no reason why the marriage is suddenly a wrong thing. He must repent even if he "looks at anther woman with lust." Christ set high standards of purity and fidelity for marriage.
Dom wrote:I get why you have issues with THAT commandment now. Your parents sound... Um. There's not a nice way to put this so I'll just smile and nod and walk away in disgust.
My parents are very kind people, which is why they graciously allowed the youngers to have coffee, it is my unforgiving problem if I have resentment toward that. BTW, no matter how horrid parents might be (which mine certainly are not) you should always be grateful to them and not bitter, if nothing else they did for you, they gave you life. Slamming parents is about the lowest form of unkindness one can stoop to. One of which I am guilty, but I intend to do better on this.
Dom wrote:Who the heck told you that? Sounds like you gobbled it up and are sexist against your own gender.
Eh, my own personal experience. No one told me anything.
Dom wrote:If I had that as my set I'm betting the mods would be on me in two seconds flat telling me it was inappropriate.
 Try it then.
Dom wrote:Anyway, I still think it's morbid and attention-grabbing; if you're depressed, just say so
I like morbid and attention-grabbing things. And no, I'm not depressed. :P
Dom wrote:So you usually turn off weird shows, but a show where everyone is constantly drowning doesn't qualify?
I thought you knew that show was a joke?
Dom wrote: Do you buy people birthday cards?
Only my closest friends. And I haven't even them, in a while.
Dom wrote:What is the most expensive article of clothing you own?
That would have been the coat I bought at the mall for $25 on sale, except Mom took it back. I make my own dresses, and generally buy my other clothes at thrift stores and Goodwills. And before you assume I'm wearing some trashy things, let me assure you that you can get some nice things at thrift stores.
Dom wrote:Can you/do you wear high heels?
I've always hated high heels for as long as I can remember. Particularly because my mom's shoes, which had heels, I thought looked ridiculously hard to manage, plus so out of style. Thus, I've never brought up the subject, so I have no idea if I could wear them. I, however, do enjoy putting on the tallest I can find if I am in a store which allows me to do so, and tramping down the isle to see how tall I can make myself.
Dom wrote: Have you ever broken the law?
I've driven over the speed limit, yes. :P Arrest me.
Dom wrote:Did you have a comfort item when you were little, like a stuffed animal or blanket?
If I did, I don't remember what particuarly. However, blankets have always been a great source of comfort to me when trying to hide away from all the pressures of this world, soooo, maybe that counts. :P However, being the oldest, I can well remember many nights trying to search for my younger brother or sisters "comfort item" to cease their wailing and wondering why on earth it mattered.
Dom wrote: Do you or your family have BELIEFS on binkies?
My baby sister has one. In seriousness though, if I step out of my room with a t-shirt and pants on, I shock all the females in the family and am forbidden to appear before my brother or father, so conclude from that what you will. However, I can think of no earthly reason, why someone would want to appear naked before other people. O.o O.o (Except for sexual reasons of course)
Dom wrote:Do you think pranksters are hysterical or obnoxious?
Totally depends on what pranks are played. But I naturally seem to gravitate toward pranksters, being one myself. :P
Dom wrote:Are you into watching any sports?
I enjoy watching them occasionally. But normally it makes me feel lazy watching hardworking athletes running around, when I tire after walking a mile. :P They are kind of interesting, but normally I find them rather boring.
Dom wrote:Do you collect anything?
I collected Postcards for awhile, until we stopped going on trips, and I had bought every option I liked at Walmart. :wacky:

There are generally three basic rules you can always stand by. 1. Never get offended by anything he says. (This will save you a lot of grief) 2. He feels special if you laugh at his jokes. 3. You can calm or curb off any temper tantrums by keeping him supplied with sheet music and a piano.

This is how there are so many Christians. :wacky: They feel it is their life purpose to be faithful, despite logic and fact staring them in the face. heh
Miss Friendship wrote:So it's not her baby?
You missed the entire point, and the important part, of my paragraph. And yes, it's her baby. I was merely pointing out that you got the verbiage wrong. The popular phrase is, "It's my body." Not "It's my baby."
Miss Friendship wrote:Well for you, this is a valid belief.
Again, you missed the ENTIRE point. It is not my belief.
Miss Friendship wrote:He must repent even if he "looks at anther woman with lust."
*snort* If they were Catholic they'd never leave the confessional.
Miss Friendship wrote:My parents are very kind people, which is why they graciously allowed the youngers to have coffee
Kindness has nothing to do with changing your beliefs and rules as more kids pop out. Please don't be that naive. Kindness also has NOTHING to do with letting a two year old drink coffee. That is called bad parenting, among other things.
Miss Friendship wrote:BTW, no matter how horrid parents might be (which mine certainly are not) you should always be grateful to them and not bitter, if nothing else they did for you, they gave you life.
You really make me laugh sometimes. Just because two people, um, HAVE A FLING, doesn't mean you should be grateful to them for anything. Good grief. Also, what makes you think I wanted my life to happen?
Miss Friendship wrote:Slamming parents is about the lowest form of unkindness one can stoop to.
Respect is earned. If parents deserve to be slammed, they will be slammed. There are horrible parents just like there are dirty cops, corrupted judges, and evil presidents. Fact of life. I don't care what position of power you're in, you only get my respect if you deserve it. And if you're about to retort with the scripture about respecting who God has placed over us, don't. God doesn't elect those people, citizens do. And if you say God is in control anyway, then he put Hitler in power and the Holocaust is God's fault. :wacky:

Before you assume I've never shopped at a thrift store, maybe you shouldn't assume.

Do you think your religion/parents/worldview is a guilt-ridden one? Some Christians. Unfortunately too many are just a Christian because they were "born" that way, or because one day they said a prayer, and they aren't actually living the life Jesus taught. :(
Dom wrote:They feel it is their life purpose to be faithful, despite logic and fact staring them in the face. heh
They KNOW it's their life purpose to be faithful, based on the logic and facts staring them in the face. Also, there's this thing called faith.

Dom wrote:It is not my belief.
 So, what is your belief?
Dom wrote:*snort* If they were Catholic they'd never leave the confessional.
No one is claiming the Christian life is easy.
Dom wrote:Kindness also has NOTHING to do with letting a two year old drink coffee. That is called bad parenting, among other things.
Well I WAS THE ONE who gives her coffee all the time. They probably would prefer not, but they allow it.
Dom wrote:You really make me laugh sometimes. Just because two people, um, HAVE A FLING, doesn't mean you should be grateful to them for anything. Good grief. Also, what makes you think I wanted my life to happen?
Yes, yes, yes, you can complain about everything, even your very existence, if you wish. But I know there are sometimes in life when you are very glad to be alive, don't deny it.
Dom wrote:And if you're about to retort with the scripture about respecting who God has placed over us, don't. God doesn't elect those people, citizens do. And if you say God is in control anyway, then he put Hitler in power and the Holocaust is God's fault.
I wouldn't have said that. I know better than to mention the One Who You Hate But Don't Cause He Doesn't Exist into this.
Dom wrote:you responded to the soap-scrubbed version of my post.
That's one way to put it.
Dom wrote:Do you think your religion/parents/worldview is a guilt-ridden one?
Yes and no. There is guilt if there is sin. There is freedom when there is victory.
Dom wrote:Would you like it if we went back to a time where each person carried around their own eating utensils so no get-togethers ever resulted in tons of dishes?
O.o I didn't know such a time existed. And no. I dislike carrying things around. :P

In a lot of areas, yes. No, I'm pretty reckless. :noway:

Ummm, several hundred feet away?

Last night, at 3 am.

Yes. Apparently I got a cough, cold and slight fever with a lot of side effects that lasts for a month if not longer. :x
