They're funny. I don't watch many comedians because many of them are too crude for me to enjoy.

Ox is great, he likes to debate and really thinks things through.

You

I don't think that's an either or type situation. I mean what if I asked you whether it was more important to live by your cultural standards or help hurting people? Also it's important to note I wouldn't debate with hurting people about communion I'd just help them.

But Jesus isn't going to judge us by what we believed, but rather by how we helped the hurting and suffering, and how we lived. So that's obviously more important.

What is something that you would consider "of the world" and would not use/do/watch etc?

So far, what is your favorite thing about the snow party?

What time did you get to bed after D&D? O.o

What is your favorite meal to make?

Ever watched Hallmark? What's your favorite movie from that?

What's your favorite movie that's like the fiction-ness of D&D?

I can agree with you to a certain degree but can I believe whatever I want then? Can I believe that Jesus was just a man or that the Bible isn't authoritative?
Miss Friendship wrote:What is something that you would consider "of the world" and would not use/do/watch etc?
There are plenty of films I wouldn't watch, I don't have a hard and fast rule I use discernment.
Miss Friendship wrote:So far, what is your favorite thing about the snow party?
Making the video clip was pretty fun.
Miss Friendship wrote:What time did you get to bed after D&D?
I got to bed around 2 am
Miss Friendship wrote:What is your favorite meal to make?
Probably mac and cheese or this pasta with bacon, blue cheese, and diced tomatoes.
Miss Friendship wrote:Ever watched Hallmark?
I have not
Miss Friendship wrote:What's your favorite movie that's like the fiction-ness of D&D?

I'm just saying helping the suffering is important. Which we both agree, so lets just stop with that.

Do you realize we've been arguing about subjects we agree on lately? Why?

Does your church have a bell? Who came up with bells first? Catholics or Protestant? Do church bells even actually alert anyone about church who actually will then come anymore?

Do you use headphones?

Were you shocked that I changed my mind about HP to a degree?

We'll get around to every topic eventually
Miss Friendship wrote:Does your church have a bell? Who came up with bells first? Catholics or Protestant? Do church bells even actually alert anyone about church who actually will then come anymore?
My church does not have a bell. Bells are pre-schism. In some places they do, I've been to monasteries with bells that do alert people.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you use headphones?
Not usually at home but I do have headphones I use on the metro or when I'm walking.

So why has Twitter been ranting about the Xfiles lately?

Do you ever read Clare's blog?

What did you think of my latest blog post on siblings?

What did you think of that person who was tagged as you on Facebook but didn't look anything like you?

Do you think there are a bad and dangerous kind of feminists?

Did your parents have a partnership marriage? If not, did it work out?

Miss Friendship wrote:So why has Twitter been ranting about the Xfiles lately?
Because they aired new episodes of the show.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you ever read Clare's blog?
I read it from time to time.
Miss Friendship wrote:What did you think of my latest blog post on siblings?
I thought it was a good look at the complexities of having siblings. I might have given an fuller example of a good time you've had with your siblings to balance out the several times they were difficult.
Miss Friendship wrote:What did you think of that person who was tagged as you on Facebook but didn't look anything like you?
I thought it was a little funny
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you think there are a bad and dangerous kind of feminists?
Yes, any worldview, ideology, or group can have bad people and views.
Miss Friendship wrote:Did your parents have a partnership marriage? If not, did it work out?
They do not, it worked for them. I'm not saying headship marriages can't work just that I think there is more room for abuse with them and that in practice good headship marriages and partnership marriages will work out similarly but that starting with an idea of equality as the norm will curb abuse.

They can't be priests or bishops; beyond that everything is possible if not currently in practice everywhere, there were Deaconess for awhile but not today for example. There are several Saints in our history that are called Equal to the Apostles. The Saint that inspires me the most is Mother Maria of Paris. We obviously hold Mary the Mother of God is very high esteem.

I'm cautiously optimistic, I liked the power of three episode he directed and Broadchurch so we'll see.

Only complexities? It was supposed to show the charm and the adventure of siblings. But yeah, I should have given a good example of that.

Have you seen Frozen?

Have you ever ridden a horse? If not, do you want too?

Are you taking a lot of stuff to Canada with you?

I saw Frozen in theaters actually, I think it is a delightful film.

I have ridden a horse and I don't care to repeat the experience.

I will be taking as little as possible to Canada with me, there will not be very much room, and no need for very much.

Why not?

Do you want to try riding a camel sometime?

What are you most passionate about?

Is it true that a person can only have one passion?

Is suffering in our lives always caused by Satan?

When are you going to give me a good signature quote?

It wasn't very fun, lot of bouncing up and down on a hard saddle. I feel like a camel would pretty much be the same thing except a lot higher up.
Miss Friendship wrote:What are you most passionate about?
Orthodoxy all though to be perfectly honest teaching and RPGs come in a close second, probably more than they should.
Miss Friendship wrote:Is it true that a person can only have one passion?
I don't believe so, I think you can be passionate about many things.
Miss Friendship wrote:Is suffering in our lives always caused by Satan?
I believe so, God doesn't cause suffering but works with us through our suffering.
Miss Friendship wrote:When are you going to give me a good signature quote?
Never
TigerShadow wrote:What other Disney movies have you seen? Do you have a favorite?
I've seen most Disney movies. My favorite is probably Mulan, when I was living in England several families from the chapel we went to would go out for pizza most Sundays. We went to this little place on base that started reserving a back room for us to eat, they had a TV in the backroom and they only had one movie; Mulan. I must have watched it 20 plus times but I always really liked the movie.

Miss Friendship wrote:Whats your favorite topic of conversation to have with friends?
It depends on the friends. With my gaming group I like to talk about the games we're playing or video games. With some friends I like talking about politics and current events. With others I like talking about life and literature.
Miss Friendship wrote:Are RPG's addicting?
No, as with anything you can do too much of something, even a good thing. But withdraw from games doesn't induce a craving.
Miss Friendship wrote:How many times a day to you read Twitter? Do you keep up with all the people you follow? Do you follow any famous people?
I check it pretty frequently, I try to keep the number of people I follow down so I can keep up with everyone. As for famous I follow a writer, Max Gladstone. Rod Dreher is a somewhat well known author and writer. Elizabeth Bruenig is a writer for the New Republic. Leah is pretty well known in some circles. Betsy Woodruff is a local political commentator and writer.
Miss Friendship wrote:Are you an obsessed fan of anything?
Probably RPGs and maybe Doctor Who.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Have you ever done anything rediculous in the snow?
I've had snow ball fights before, it wasn't as ridiculous when I was younger but I had one in college too.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Why were you asked to teach from a history book you found disturbing?
My brother usually teaches the class but he's on his honeymoon.

Do you follow any of the GOP candidates?

Not at all, it takes practice, humility, and wisdom. Discernment is a lifelong pursuit. One of the reasons I started Doxacon was to be a place where people can gather to talk and cultivate discernment.
Miss Friendship wrote:Have you ever watched a movie that you regretted later? What about music?
Yeah there are movies I regret watching, many because they're just bad but others because of the negative messages or images. Same with music.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you follow any of the GOP candidates?
I tend to follow the field, I'm not on any mailing lists or following anyone on Twitter or Facebook if that's what you're asking.
Miss Friendship wrote:What does GOP stand for?
Grand Old Party
Miss Friendship wrote:What's your favorite subject to teach?
I really like teaching debate with history coming in a close second.
