C.S. Lewis...'s Chronicles of Narnia... movies. Man, those were great. I hope he writes more of them.

Why doesn't anyone like the second one? I thought it was great. If you're just angry at the writers for changing the story, I'd think you'd hate the third one more than any of them. I personally enjoyed all three. I mean, the movies were supposed to be "based on" the books, not direct copies of them, right?

I'm not usually one for fantasy stories, but I really liked the first book, which I read last summer.

I know, I mean they had it pretty close with Prince Caspian. But with The Voyage of the Dawn Treader they had to change it.Aaron Wiley wrote:Why doesn't anyone like the second one? QA Guy, you're right. First off, Dawn Treader is my favorite book, and that was also my favorite movie. But they did have to change the Dawn Treader movie, because if it was only a paraphrase of the book, it would have been approximately 4-5 hours. And that's just a paraphrase!

Yep, C.S. Lewis made it hard for the movie makersThe Old Judge wrote:QA Guy, you're right. First off, Dawn Treader is my favorite book, and that was also my favorite movie. Oh, and not to be correcting, but it is NarniaQA Guy. And also (but not at you, at everyone) why doesn't anyone like Prince Caspian? These are the books, so why not?The Old Judge wrote:QA Guy, you're right. First off, Dawn Treader is my favorite book, and that was also my favorite movie. I devour the books, swallow whole the Focus on the Family Radio Theater episodes, and gulp the movies for dessert! Hooray for CS Lewis, and Narnia! PS, his The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, and Space Trilogy are awe inspiring also.

Really? I'm having a hard time believing that. Of course you said 'book' not a book from a series or a series, right?NarniaQA Guy wrote:I have read pieces, @Hannah, it is the 2nd best selling book worldwide.
