Since you are probably the only person in the world who accurately understands the horror of onions...

What do you do when your pizza is covered in those tiny mini invisible onion slivers and impossible to completely extract from the pizza? O.o

Sooo...hmmm..Mandy and Trent spoil their Grandchildren, or with they hardly ever get to see them?
Hmm...I'd say that they probably get to see the grandkids fairly often, and Trent's the spoiler (Mandy gives him a good-natured swat on the back of the head sometimes when she thinks he's going overboard). He's also got some cool stories about working in the space program, and the grandkids love listening to them. Mandy's the one they all go to when they want advice. Both her children and grandchildren get to listen to this exchange every so often:

"Well, you know, when you're DEALING WITH A CRUSH, honey, you should always be HONEST AND FORTHRIGHT WITH YOUR FEELINGS."

"Oh, I'm sorry, what was that, Mandy, love? All I heard was I HAVE NO IDEA HOW INTIMIDATING LADIES LIKE ME CAN BE."
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Will Mandy and Trent move to an elderly home, or are they too stubborn?
Nah, that's what the computer in the house (the one we hear at the beginning of "The Present Long Ago" was for. Trent installed it about the time their kids were getting married and moving out of the house, and got Mandy's approval only when they both acknowledged—none too happily—that they weren't getting any younger and might need the help with organization.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Will Mandy or Trent die first?
Ummm...

They both die at the same time. Peacefully. In their sleep. At age 104. After living long and happy and fulfilled lives that didn't have horribly tragic things happen.

Right? Right.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:ETA: I just realized Odyssey already answered half of these in "The Present Long Ago," but you can still answer them. :P Or, you could take "The Present Long Ago" out of the canon for a second, and develop your own ending for the couple. ;)

hahaha there are others?

Probably Buck/Olivia. There's so much potential there, that he can show her some of the harsher realities of life beyond her comfortable suburban lifestyle and she can give him stability and constancy; they can watch each other grow and be proud of what the other has achieved spiritually and emotionally.

Well, as you might have observed in your thread...

Nothing is the same anymore. What are the emotional ramifications? What will happen in Ford, Mabel, and Stan's respective character journeys? How will Dipper rise to this particular occasion? Where might Pacifica and Gideon come into play?

And man, I was not prepared for Blendin's possession. I mean, I knew right away that Blendin was being possessed (pretty convenient, isn't it, that Blendin's eyes are always hidden?), but the way his eyes looked when Bill made him take off his goggles...man, that was terrifying.
Wakko wrote:(You may have already answered this, but I'm not sure.) What's your favorite Trandy episode?
"Mum's the Word". Trent is being an adorable little cutie patootie, adoring Mandy from afar ("such a nice smile" gets me every stinkin' time), and Mandy is so sweet even when she's telling him she only sees him as a friend. She clearly trusts him deeply or she wouldn't want him to know about her parents' separation, and he obviously cares about her or he wouldn't want her to know the truth even at the expense of breaking a promise that is taking an emotional toll on him (while simultaneously trying to keep that promise even as he's being blackmailed, as he tells Connie that he is troubled by the fact that he did give Max his word rather than telling her that Max was threatening him). Add to that the chaos of the recording studio, the chemistry between all the child characters (there were four child characters in that episode, none of whom were related, and they were all really well-written and had a lot of chemistry together), and Bernard and Connie's sniping, and I'm sold. I've listened to it about a hundred times and I can hear it a hundred more without getting tired.

Miss Friendship wrote:Is Gravity Falls a TV series? What's it about?
Gravity Falls is an animated TV show produced by Disney about twins Dipper and Mabel Pines, who go to live with their great uncle (Grunkle) Stan Pines in his tourist trap, the Mystery Shack, in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, where mysterious supernatural occurrences and secrets abound.
Miss Friendship wrote:What do you think of my newest set? :D
It looks quite nice. =)
Miss Friendship wrote:What are your thoughts on the movie Pride and Prejudice?
I've never seen it, so I don't really have thoughts on it. I'd like to read the book first, but there's also the fact that I'm exceedingly lazy.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Can you share a headcanon for Tamika Washington?
Tamika soon discovers that she has a real passion for musical theatre; between her dramatic flair and performing arts skills, she's a natural onstage. She's also a mezzo-soprano belter, which makes her a perfect fit for roles like Elphaba.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Oh, and Samantha McKay?
I've always thought that she could become good friends with Camilla Parker. It would make for an interesting friendship—Sam is sweet, shy, and innocent, while Camilla is spunky and sporty.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Do you listen to any podcasts?
I do not.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Oh, and you like a Wicked song? ^_^
Yes, I'm rather fond of "Defying Gravity", as well as "No Good Deed". Personally, though, I'm not a big fan of Idina Menzel's performances; she always sounds so nasally and strained. I've heard some of Eden Espinosa's performances, and she does an absolutely fantastic job as Elphaba (find some recordings of her on YouTube, especially her last "No Good Deed"; she's amazing). The version of "Defying Gravity" that I have is actually a rock remix of the song performed by Kerry Ellis, who played Elphaba for the West End.

Wha? O.o

Have you watched any of the movies based on Jane Austen's books?

What kind of movie do you favor the most? (Romance, mystery, fantasy, etc)

Hmmm, I live in Oregon. *looks up Gravity Falls*

No, at least in part because I haven't read the books.

Action-adventure, with comedy and a dash of romance.

I saw one episode a few years ago, with the Tenth Doctor and Donna in Pompeii as Mount Vesuvius is about to erupt. We saw it in Latin class because not only was it portraying Roman history, it also used characters from our textbook. (We actually saw it in Latin class because the teacher had more chill than a walk-in freezer and probably didn't want to have to deal with teaching a class full of annoying freshmen for a little while.)
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Tamika as Elphaba? xD "Ah ah ah ahhhhhh!" (end of Defying Gravity) *quack* "AWFUL! TERRIBLE! I haven't heard anything that terrible since I got my head stuck in the elevator door!"
This is at the end of a performance at the Harlequin theatre, mind. Tamika lets herself off her harness and stalks over to Dern, beans him over the head with her prop broomstick, and takes a bow to a roar of applause, including from Mandy-as-Glinda and the chorus members.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Are you really busy being a mod?
Depends on the day. Mod powers can be kind of annoying, though, because there have been plenty of times when I wanted to quote someone and I accidentally clicked the "edit" button instead. :P
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Did you have to answer all the who will you marry/who would you like to meet in person questions? *can't remember*
Yeah, they're back in the deep recesses of the thread. I remember I answered Marvin D. for the "who would you marry" question, and I think I mentioned Eleventh, MF, Belle, and PF under the "who would you like to meet" question (there was one other person, though, and I forget who it was).
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Who are some of your favorite (mainly) ToOers?
Um...probably Marvin D., Catspaw and Smaug.

xD Yes, that's what I'd do during the intermission between Act 1 and 2. :P I don't know...I don't really imagine Mandy as a Glinda...can she hit all those high notes Glinda has to sing? o_o But, if that happens, does that mean Trent gets to be Fiyero? And....I totally see Connie being Madame Morrible...just give her a fat suit and a good voice. :P Oh, and Whit can be the Wizard. Hmm....and maybe Marvin can be Boq. Oh...and the girl he met at school in the wheel chair could be Nessa. o_o Except, she has to be able to stand in the musical... #totallygoingtoheadcanonthis

Do you have any thoughts on Antoine Washington?

Is Trent the two-year-old brother Jared mentions in The Pushover?

Do you think Trent thought of Mandy while he was in hiding in Witness Protection? Or didn't they know each other yet?

Are there any questions you would like to be asked?

I headcanon that she can; I think Mandy sounds like an A++ soprano. Apparently, Aria Curzon was pleased to hear from a fan that she'd make a good Glinda.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:But, if that happens, does that mean Trent gets to be Fiyero?
Yeah, and Mandy is lowkey agitated by it. (And by "lowkey" I mean "snarling at anyone who asks".)
Isaiah the Ox wrote:And....I totally see Connie being Madame Morrible...just give her a fat suit and a good voice. :P
I dunno, I'd be down for Liz as Morrible.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Oh, and Whit can be the Wizard. Hmm....and maybe Marvin can be Boq. Oh...and the girl he met at school in the wheel chair could be Nessa. o_o Except, she has to be able to stand in the musical... #totallygoingtoheadcanonthis
I thought of either Marvin or Alex as Boq, and the other of the two as the Wizard. (Or maybe Edwin as the Wizard; he'd probably commandeer the role and be the director because he's Edwin.) And then...maybe Gwen could be Nessa? Yeesh, that's actually a tough one.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Do you have any thoughts on Antoine Washington?
I've often thought that he was analogous to Bill Weasley—the oldest son and the "cool" one of the family, whom both Marvin and Tamika look up to.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Is Trent the two-year-old brother Jared mentions in The Pushover?
I think he was probably supposed to be, but the writers didn't really think about the continuity error. If you omit the whole "two-year-old" thing, it sounds like it might add some character to Trent and Jared's relationship—Jared likes to try to boss Trent around and tell him what to do, but Trent just thinks he's annoying and full of it and tells him to go push around someone his own age.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Do you think Trent thought of Mandy while he was in hiding in Witness Protection? Or didn't they know each other yet?
I think he might have thought of her in passing, as he might have done with Alex, Sarah, Liz, or Nathaniel, but I personally headcanon that they didn't really become friends until he got out of the WPP, and they didn't start getting closer until the Valentine incident.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Are there any questions you would like to be asked?
Well, I do like being asked questions about the Albums 40-50 Odyssey kids, for starters. ;) I wouldn't mind some questions about my art, either, or questions about my favorite fandoms (i.e. Harry Potter, Sonic the Hedgehog, Percy Jackson, Avatar/Legend of Korra).

You can't have a young lady (Liz) play Madame Morrible. :noway:

Yes...Edwin would be a good Wizard...they are both full of themselves. ;)

Yeah...Gwen could be Nessa...or maybe *gasp* an unknown-on-AIO person could play her. o_o *faints*

Well, we basically learn Jared is pretty bossy towards Trent in "It's All About Me."

Mandy wrote:What is your favorite thing about college?
The fact that I don't have to be responsible to anyone—my parents aren't here to nag me about things, and professors tend to leave it up to the students whether they do the work and pass the class or not. I think it's actually helped me to be more responsible, because it's my choice as to whether or not I do my work. Having the freedom to make my own choices is a pride and joy of mine, methinks.
Mandy wrote:What is your favorite kind of soda?
None of them; I hate soda.
Wakko wrote:Did you know that you are the first person to use the word lowkey on the SS? :P
THIS IS MY LEGACY.
Wakko wrote:What do you think of Luna Lovegood?
I thought she was amusing, and her tendency to think outside the philosophical box was a joy to read.
Wakko wrote:Do you ship Neville and Luna like I do? xP
No; I never gave it much thought when I was reading the books, and then I found out that Neville married Hannah Abbott and Luna married Rolf Scamander. Personally, I never really "saw it" until the last movie came out, and even then it looked like a Pair the Spares moment rather than something genuine. (But then again, many things in the movies were forced rather than genuine, like Hermione's entire character.)
Isaiah the Ox wrote:You can't have a young lady (Liz) play Madame Morrible. :noway:
I can do what I want. :noway: Besides, stage makeup can fix that. I just figure that Liz is bossy and politically-inclined enough to take on the role with relative ease. (That, and if Liz had a decent singing voice, I can definitely picture her as an alto.)
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Yes...Edwin would be a good Wizard...they are both full of themselves. ;)
See, you get me.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Yeah...Gwen could be Nessa...or maybe *gasp* an unknown-on-AIO person could play her. o_o *faints*
NEVER. >=(
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Well, we basically learn Jared is pretty bossy towards Trent in "It's All About Me."
Yeah, he is. Trent's got a bit of a smart mouth on him, too, and it's probably because of living with Jared and having Marvin as a best friend.

PERCY JACKSON SPOILERS:
Isaiah the Ox wrote:*note, I have only read Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and not the second series*
Ugh. For your own sake, don't. I stopped after the third book and then just read spoilers for the last two, and honestly, I don't think I missed anything.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:What did you think when you found the Golden Fleece brought Thalia back? O_O
I was freaking out, and I was also super excited because we finally got to meet Thalia! Her friendship with Percy was one of my favorite things, to be honest.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:How hard do you ship Percy/Annabeth?
Harder than the diamond ring we all know he'll slip on her finger at some point.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:What's your favorite book of the first series?
Hmm...that's probably a toss-up between The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian. Rereading BoL is always a treat for the character interaction and for the clever use of the Labyrinth as part of the plot, but TLO is just...man, that book is epic, and I love the theme of heart and home threaded throughout. It's so hard to choose between the two.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Have you read any other books by Rick Riordan?
Yeah, I did read the first three books of Heroes of Olympus, but like I said, they're not worth the effort (or the money). If you want to read them, check them out at a library; don't spend your money on them (unless you like them; in which case, by all means).
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Who is your favorite (or, your top 5 favorite) young-adult/late junior fiction author(s)?
Honestly, I can't really name you one. :anxious: Not because I'm not familiar with any of the books, but I'm not really much of a reader; I prefer cartoons and animated films.
Isaiah the Ox wrote:Should I watch Gravity Falls? I saw the trailer a while ago, and thought it was one of those full of potty/college humor, veiled adult references, and overall stupid CN TV show. Was I wrong?
Very (if for no other reason than the fact that Gravity Falls is a Disney show). Yeah, it can look pretty stupid, but it's actually really funny and cool. It starts out kind of nonsensical and silly, but it gets into an intense, mysterious plot before too long. (I also wouldn't call it "college" humor and adult references; it's more on the order of dry wit and dark comedy.) To give you some perspective, my 23-year-old brother, who is basically Spock if Spock was a conservative Christian human from the Southeast with a quirky sense of humor and a strong dislike for all things Disney Channel, enjoyed the show, so it's got more to it than might have met your eye in the trailer.
