I think Super PACs make a mockery of democracy and undermine our freedom by controlling our lawmakers.

I will be watching the debate tonight, I think he'll do a good job. I've been impressed with his appearances so far. But a lot of it depends on the questions the moderator asks.

Is the moderator always from CNN?

How many words do you think you type per day? (Or pages worth)

Different news channels host different debates, the moderators are from that channel.

No idea.

You were in my dream. And you were being mean to one of my friends and I told them not to take it personally. You promised to drive my friend to MacDonald's but you went to Starbucks instead and he was really mad because he wanted McDonald's coffee :P. If you ever visit my dream again don't be mean to my friends even if they have bad taste in coffee ok? Hahaha I hope this doesn't upset you. I thought it was funny.

I would drive your friend to wherever they wanted to go for coffee. I don't drink coffee anyway so I don't know where good and bad coffee are.

Does it ever bother you that the first things we ask when meeting new people tend to be boring and about what they do (study/ work) rather than who they are? What question could we ask people when we first meet that gets at the essence of their being, or is the long boring process of getting to know someone worth it to make the final revelation more valuable?

That does bother me but I can't think of a similar question about who a person is that is as simple and easy to answer as so what do you do? I think it is a longer, but not boring, process of getting to know someone on a deeper level. What they do is a good surface question that can lead to deeper questions.

But why not start with a deep question that is hard to answer? Like "What are you most passionate about?" or "What do you desire most in life?" or "What would you do if you were guaranteed not to fail?" or "What are you most afraid of?" Then again we may accidentally fall in love with everyone if we did that (tongue in cheek reference to a New York Times article). Maybe it would be a good thing for the Gospel since love is kind of the point and deep questions foster empathy.

I think it's more likely we'd scare away people and to be honest when you're getting to know someone you start with smaller questions that have easier answers to make conversation easier. We should make sure we move onto the harder questions as we get to know people but starting with smaller questions is fine. I mean if you're at a party do you want to tell a dozen strangers what you're most afraid of?

Do you remember what the first post you made on the SS was without looking?

Do you find it easy to talk to complete strangers?

If I had a dream about you, would it be good or bad? :P

Does it disturb you that apparently everyone here dreams about you? ;)

I think I wrote something about marijuana or creationism.

I do actually, more so than people that are like acquaintances who I've met once or twice or a friend of a friend.

It depends what I did in the dream.

More just mystified as to why that is happening. I don't know why things happen in dreams so I don't know if it's a good or bad thing.

I think Hillary won in that she didn't make any serious blunders, where as the others did and Sanders really gave her a boost by defusing the email situation.

Your first post was a comment on how awesome Lindsay Stirling was.

@kait I have never had a dream so I don't belong to that class. :P

Do you still like Lindsay Stirling's music?

Are you going to let David and Catherine Elizabeth listen to AIO? (Oh wait, they don't exist yet) :P

Why don't you spell "Catherine" with a K?

Wouldn't it get confusing to have a daughter with the same name as two of your friends?

What age would you allow your kids to do social media/email etc?

Sure, some of the episodes are good. I might exclude a couple of the ones that are patently false, like the D&D episodes.

Because all my friends spell it was a C.

I don't think so, I mean there's a possibility either them or I might not be in the area anyway.

I think that would be on a case by case basis, some might get earlier depending on their level of maturity.

McDonalds coffee is HORRIBLE. :x If you decide to try coffee sometime, go to Tim Hortons. They have good coffee.

At what time in your life did you feel closest to God and why?

MF: How much do you know about Helios?

Woody: Let's see. I know you survived her
drama, I know she's a danger to
society, I know she's a lie, I know
Belle is unfazed by her wrath, I
know she has ox horns, and I know
I should beware of her.

(And she is also my enemy. )

There aren't many Tim Hortons in America.

Probably right after I converted when I was very focused on God and participating in my parish.
