Okay, if you don't trust me when I share personal experiences then there's no point in any future discussions.
They're fantasy writers, they're not actually doing the things they're writing about. They're no more sorcerers than they are swordsmen.

I am not calling you a liar. I am saying I still think D&D to be occultic in spite of what you said. And I am going to go on researching until I find the link.
So you see nothing wrong with writing about demons and daggars? That is beyond fantasy. I read demonic figures, bloodshed and death. Nothing right in this whatsoever. Its so dark. And where do you think these writers drew their inspiration from? In researching, this group was a common link but I keep seeing the name Hagan. Who was a sorcerer, if I am not mistaken, himself. But I will research that for sure.

So you've decided ahead of time what the truth is and are going to research not to find out what is true but to prove yourself right?
The Bible has demons and daggers. They probably draw their inspiration from a variety of sources including myths from different cultures and their own imagination. I really doubt they drew their inspiration from demons.
True Hagan is a sorcerer, in the video game World of Warcraft.

I can't see how I possibly could be wrong.
Does the Bible use demons and dragons as icons in a game where its "all in fun."?
Here is one of the men who Gary Gygax drew inspiration from for his D&D.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Zelazny So you think none of that Chinese mythology/Egyptian mythology about gods turning into people and vs versa is occultic?

Why research then?
No, because the Bible isn't a game.
I think we may be operating off of different definitions, can you define occult? Because I think using those as inspiration for fictional stories isn't occultic.

Why do you think I research? One word: you. I cannot debate you unless I have sources and reasons for what I believe.
Why lightheartedly toss it into a game when the Bible takes it very seriously?
Occult definition from Google which I agree with.
1. supernatural, mystical, or magical beliefs, practices, or phenomena.
"a secret society to study alchemy and the occult"
synonyms: the supernatural, the paranormal, supernaturalism, magic, black magic, witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy, wizardry, the black arts, occultism, diabolism, devil worship, devilry, voodoo, hoodoo, white magic, witchery, mysticism; raretheurgy
And yes, I realize that mythology is different than what I originally thought.

I agree with that definition and the role playing game D&D has none of those things. The game has no supernatural, mystical, or magical elements. Everything in the game is pretend. Its just a fun game that uses themes and elements from mythology. The game does not encourage in any way the players to actually do any of these things and I think because of that its fine to play as a game. It's like playing pretend with friends or siblings.

Well I wouldn't really know if it was unconsciously.Miss Friendship wrote:Have you ever unconsciously made a decision?

I have not.
Similar to what I've said before, we had a rash of trolls espousing similar beliefs to yours so I thought for a little bit that you might not be honest in what you believe but I know differently now.

My grandparents gave me some AIO tapes for my birthday one year.

Someone else told me.
It does annoy me but I'm usually not that organized.
Not to my knowledge.

Do you ever remember your dreams? (Like vivid detailed dreams) Ever have any dreams that later happen in life?
Doing anything special for your birthday this year?
Favorite holiday? (This has been asked before, but I am not digging through 40+ pages)
Do you put milk in your tea?

I do not remember my dreams, never have.
My best friend's birthday is today so next weekend we're having a joint birthday celebration. We're going to have a small group of friends over to her house to go swimming, then we're meeting more friends for dinner at a nice restaurant, then we'll go back to her place for wine and cake.
My favorite holiday is Pascha.
I do put milk in my tea.

I disagree with them on Dungeons & Dragons, that man is inherently evil, that man has a sin nature, and pretty much any general Protestant teaching.

Yes, I was at a party last week where I had some gin & tonics and some whisky & lemonade. I also occasionally, like once a month, have some vodka and mixers in the evening. If I'm out at a nice restaurant I might order wine or a mixed drink. Sometimes our family will have wine with dinner. If I'm at a bar with friends or we're at someones house.

I like a bit of lemon with my water but not besides that.
Pascha is what you would call Easter
I stopped listening because I became an atheist, never picked it up after I became Orthodox.
