I don't log chats, I use the bare bones interface CGI:IRC. Our internet is weak these days so I can't use any of the others.
My church has a Wednesday night Vespers, which is just an evening prayer service about half an hour in length, we usually have an education class afterward and then some of us will go out for drinks or a late dinner after that.

Sometimes God seems mean even if He isn't
And no there was no question in that statement.

Haha, that makes me feel better. xD And, it's not often...but you sort of did that in the Allegiance thread...but you at least were conscience of it.
Oh, and thanks... >_> I was praying this morning and suddenly was second guessing myself. I was basically doing my typical, same-thing-I-always-say prayer in the morning...and wondered if I was being disrespectful that I wasn't quite awake enough to not know what I was saying... Anyway, I think written prayers may be useful for some people, and not for others. MF, I think you realize this, but ED isn't saying either is bad, or either one should be ignored. If we can hear from God through the Bible, and worship Him be reflecting on scripture, can't we learn or worship Him through other sources, like prescribed prayers? If prayer is a time we worship God and speak to Him, wouldn't be singing a Hymn something similar? And aren't Hymns written out?
I know I just went on a tangent longer than I had expected, but, oh well.
What do you think of what I just wrote?
What is my biggest flaw?

I think your general point is sound. I would obviously believe prescribed prayers are more normative and important than you but that's my tradition.

Here is a gift for you: "We are not supposed to hate people."
Would you go into withdrawal if you never got to have alcohol again?

Thank you for the gift
No, I wouldn't. I've gone without alcohol for months at a time. You don't suffer withdrawal symptoms unless you are drinking over three drinks a day consistently for weeks or months.

Forgive me, that was an oversight. I don't think a sensitive person needs to change.
