Yesterday I got in a writing mood and decided
that I had better get going on the AIO
FAQ questions that a bunch of fans submitted recently. Three of you
submitted the question, "What happened to Will Ryan/Will Eugene be
coming back to the show?" so I decided that I would answer that
question first. My reply is rather long and detailed, so be sure to check it
out when I post it soon!
I just recently re-absorbed the information
at the Official Katie Leigh
Fan Club, and there are a few interesting questions, answered by
Katie! katieleighfanclub.com is their new address, and soon there will be a
40 minute behind-the-scenes interview with Katie! As of now the site is
pretty small but OdysseyFan is working on it. If you head over to 'Links'
there are two clips, one of Katie's commercial debuts, and also another of
the many answering machines of Katie Leigh. I laughed my head off!
Also, getting to Scoop news, I will be
archiving
all of this month's posts tomorrow. This page will probably load
faster since there won't be as much information on it for a change. :) And
oh, I updated the "This Week's Schedule" on the left-hand column
on this page with released information that wasn't known earlier in the
week.
Tuesday, July 30, 2002
I am proud to announce that I have posted the
next installment of "The Love and... CHRONICLES" drama series over
in Sound Clips!
This time Jon and Marsha first meet when Marsha arrives in Madagascar after
a long, relaxing cruise! Where do I get these ideas?! Actually I blame my
sister because she wrote most of these episodes, along with my help.
Be sure to start forming the habit of
visiting Odyssey Talk
each day to read Jared's looney updates. :)
Monday, July 29, 2002
Today I re-uploaded all my pages with the AIO
Season Countdown. I went ahead and updated all the pages of the site with it
and you can now find it on the left sidebar of each and every page. It'll be
there for approximately six months. Also today I updated This Week's
Schedule on the sidebar of this page with the little info that I can
release.
At the
Soda
Fountain and AIO HQ today, the
"2002 Battle Lines Awards" are now up. Check out the statistics on
best sound design, episode, and more.
Also today
Odyssey
Talk added a Polling section which, when you vote, will be announced
each week by yours truly.... ME! Please don't get scared. I'm not going to
be THAT crazy!
Sunday, July 28, 2002
This weekend Focus on the Family celebrated
its 25th anniversary. On the 26th AIO put together its third live episode!
It will air next season unfortunately.
I plan on updating this week's Schedule along
with the August 2002 Schedule
page, but as of now no sources have posted information yet. I'll
keep you posted.
Saturday, July 27, 2002
As of now, the "Best of
the Barclays" is airing each week on the radio. Today is "Our Best
Vacation Ever." If you have never heard the older episodes I suggest
listening each week, starting with
Oneplace.
If you're a long-term listener and have heard the shows, there is a reason
to listen each week because Chuck Bolte is the host and is giving out
interesting nuggets of information each week.
Today I updated the
Fan
List with Agent 503X's name. Check it out! If you haven't signed the
Fan List then be sure to do so. Also keep watching the countdown on this
page! I hope to keep it running for the next six months, but knowing how
much I like to change things, there's no telling if it'll be there in six
months! I hope it will be!
Friday, July 26, 2002
Today I am so excited because
I received an interview with Corey Burton! I read through his answers to
some questions and I learned things I never knew before. I will be posting
his Interview
soon along with Adam Pavlakovich's and Katie Leigh's.
If you haven't noticed, today
I also added something at the top of this page. I know it's a long way away,
but watching an "AIO Season Countdown" above will help the time go
faster. All you have to do is stare at the seconds point for hours and hours
and then make yourself dizzy enough to pass out. So enjoy it!
Thursday, July 25,
2002
As I said yesterday, I would
probably be posting episode one of "The Love and... CHRONICLES"
today. And I have! Episode one is now up with some interesting information
about the Kisses team, production, and actor listing! Visit
Sound
Clips!
I was in a bit of main page
changing yesterday and I forgot to mention in my update that I added some
new info on the sidebar at the left. I hope you like the new look!
Wednesday, July 24,
2002
As you can see, I got in
another mood to change colors. Today I have changed the color scheme to this
page. I'm not sure if I want to keep it yet, but if you send me an email
with your comments on it I know I'll be able to come to a conclusion. I may
go back to gray. Also I have updated the sidebar on this page with a little
more new information. Send comments to
jacob@odysseyscoop.com.
I hope to have drama one of
"The Love and... CHRONICLES" online and posted tomorrow. Check
back!
Tuesday, July 23,
2002
Today I bring you good news
of a great joy that will be racing through your heads! For all of you
Extra
Extra fans out there, that's right... I am finally working on a
new article which I hope to finish by the end of the week! How long has it
been since I actually wrote an article?
Yesterday I mentioned that I
will be posting episode one of a drama series I made. I still have plans to
do that and it will be posted sometimes this week.
Monday, July 22, 2002
It's amazing how fun it can
be to spend a half hour reading through a writers chat! That's exactly what
I did at the AIO HQ today,
and you should too! Also there's a new poll at the
Soda
Fountain that you should check out.
Later this week I will be
posting episode one of "The Love and... CHRONICLES," titled
"Love and War." It's the first of a drama series my cousin and
sister helped me make in 1999. I'd say it's pretty good for only using a
tape recorder and a microphone! Our "Kisses" production team only
made it through episode 4, but even that is amazing! I may post the two we
never finished because they have some funny moments. For now,
listen
to Connie sing over there.
Sunday, July 21, 2002
Today the
Soda
Fountain has finally posted Nathan Hoobler's Commentary on the
Andromeda Q & A. It's definitely an in depth and worthwhile read. I
spent about 15 minutes on the "AREM" section today and it was
definitely a great clarification about things. I still have the other
sections to go! :)
Also brought to my attention
by the Soda Fountain,
the AIO HQ chat is over as
of yesterday and a chat transcript will be posted today. The new season's
date has been announced to be January 11, 2003! That is ages from now!
Sunday, July 21, 2002
It's amazing how much fun you
can have making a sound clip. That's why I have decided to bring up this
topic for today. I made a sound clip which I have released! Visit
Sound
Clips to hear "Silly Songs with Connie: Endangered
Lover" and sing along if you so wish.
For a short time only, a
VISUAL version of the sound clip will be viewable. It requires a download,
but it's definitely looney! If you would like to submit a sound clip
sometime, send it to jacob@odysseyscoop.com.
It must be within the limitations of your email server.
On another note, the Scoop
reached its 12,000th visit yesterday! Hooray!
Friday, July 19, 2002
Yesterday I came up with a
brilliant idea for the Scoop! I was so excited about it that I thought about
it until midnight last night and I could not sleep for the life of me! You
see, when I get motivated to do something, I really get a surge of
excitement in me and I am singing and screaming and shouting at the top of
my lungs! (Well, not really, but it sounded funny to say)
So here's my idea. In a week
or two I will be hosting a "Oddities in Odyssey" 5-day segment
system Countdown. Each day you'll be able to check back to hear the next
"odd" Adventures in Odyssey clip, taken from various episodes.
Obviously I will keep you in torment as you check back each day. It will go
from least "odd" to most "odd." And let me tell you,
these scenes are "ODD!" More info will be posted later...
I just posted a cool picture
of Whit I edited. See above.

I'm sure the three of you who
solved correctly think you know the answer to the latest
AIO
Wheel of Fortune. Well I am happy to announce that whoever you
are and for whatever reason you answered and whatever you guessed to solve,
your reason was a good one and your guess was right, therefore I know who
you are! Odd sentence, but that defines what the new round of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is all about. Oddity. I, myself, and me knows
the answer to the round and who won. Visit AIO WOF to find out who won!
You'll be surprised at what the puzzler is too!
Also worth mentioning today
as I mentioned yesterday, FactsBuffet.com
has taken new ownership. Be sure to check out the new site! Currently, it
only has a message board but the site builder is working on some new things.
Why not post at that neat message board?
Wednesday, July 17,
2002
Yesterday three AIO sites did
not have a good day. The Odyssey Scoop,
Odyssey
Talk, and AIOBC
had server problems and all three sites couldn't be viewed. Why? Well, let's
see... how could this be possible? Is it some kind of conspiracy? Is someone
trying to destroy Odyssey websites? I really doubt that. If you're really
interested in knowing what was up, let's just say that all three sites share
the same server...
Speaking of AIO sites, do you
remember factsbuffet.com? Someone posted a thread at the
Town
Hall informing that they purchased the domain and needs help
putting stuff on the site. Help him!
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is updated with day 9.
Tuesday, July 16,
2002
Today makes an annoying day
at the Scoop because none of the pages except this one are actually working.
So today only (unless plans change), there will be no AIO Wheel of Fortune.
Don't even try to get to any of the links on the page because they're not
going to work. I had to try a new server today just to get this page to run!
:( But that's nice of me so you can read my update for today.
Don't forget to vote in the
"Battle Lines 2002 Awards" hosted by the
AIO
HQ and The Soda Fountain for a short time only. Results will be posted
later.
Day 8 of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is still posted due to server problems.
Monday, July 15, 2002
Jared Walczak of the deceased
OdysseyRadio show has revived his talking skills and has released a NEW
internet radio show, "Odyssey Talk." Beginning August 17th, Jared
will have weekly shows.
To celebrate this occasion, I
made a cool banner ad below that's pretty funny! Check it out then check out
odysseytalk.odysseyscoop.com!
Jared would appreciate ANY sound clips, reports, show clips, etc. sent to
him EARLY so that he can do the best broadcasting job possible.
Today makes Day 7 of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune.
Sunday, July 14, 2002
In case you didn't know, 500
is now available in an exclusive web version with 4 extra minutes added
onto the show. Listen at the Official
Site. For those of you interested in purchasing the 500th
episode, it will be available from Tommy Nelson in a few weeks. The CD will
include the 500th show plus some new interviews, games, and a coloring page.
Check tommynelson.com!
Today makes Day 7 of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune.
Saturday, July 13,
2002
Today episode 500, titled 500,
airs today. Oneplace
is a great place to listen if you don't know of a local radio station that
plays it. I'd say it was pretty interesting, to say the least.
The
Soda
Fountain has released the fact that they will be starting a new
AIO reality show, this time a show on ABC and very much like AIO Survivor,
but different! Check the SF
for more info.
Today makes Day 6 of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune.
Friday, July 12, 2002
Since yesterday, six people
have signed the Fan List. I updated it every so often when someone signed it
but more just kept coming in! If you haven't signed the Fan List yet,
do
so.
I'd like to mention something
else today too. I have been receiving emails asking "Where is
Eugene?" and I'm sorry, you'll just have to wait until I write my AIO
FAQ question which was so conveniently submitted by a fan. Check back later.
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is updated.
Thursday, July 11,
2002
Conveniently, a Scoop reader
submitted the question, What happened to Will Ryan/Eugene? Is his
character ever coming back? With all the crazy union talks, rumors, and
worries going on at the Town
Hall, I realized that it's time to get in touch with Paul
McCusker, so I did.
Hopefully if he'll release
enough information I can answer this AIO FAQ question and clear up all the
union talks and scary-sounding rumors that are infesting people's minds.
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is updated. I also updated the Fan
List with two more names at the top. The Website Spotlight on
the sidebar has new information about the
Soda
Fountain.
Wednesday, July 10,
2002
Approximately one month ago I
posted the new Fan
List. All were welcome to sign the "Official" (yeah
right) List so that all may know who they are. Today I am finally posting
the 20 entries. If yours is not yet up please sign
the list and your name will be updated on the page as soon as
possible. Also I have posted the Books section over in
Merchandise.
You can check that out. It's very big.
In other news today, the
Wonderworld
section at the official site posted a clip of David Griffin talking about
his favorite episode. Check it out.
AIO
Wheel of Fortune is updated.
Tuesday, July 9, 2002
If you haven't noticed yet,
AIO Wheel of Fortune began yesterday. It has new rules, new gameplay, and
it's hosted by... Rich Uncle Pennybags?? Go inside at
http://aiowof.odysseyscoop.com
to see what all the commotion is about!
Also while you're at it, head
over to The Soda Fountain
and cast your vote in the new poll. The site webmaster is trying to make a
decision on what he should do with his site, and he needs all of our loyalty
and participating. Go vote.
Today I plan on continuing my
new Merchandise
section.
Monday, July 8, 2002
About a month I mentioned
that three people in my school died. It's been a month since then and now...
someone in my grade just died in a car accident two nights ago. That makes
the fourth person this year.
If you get time, pray for the
family of this girl. I'm not sure what she believed about Jesus, so your
guess is as good as mine. This has reminded me that our lives are like a
vapor, and if you're not right with the Lord, you have no second chances.
Round 11 of
AIO
Wheel of Fortune has begun! It has a new and easier link:
http://aiowof.odysseyscoop.com!
Sunday, July 7, 2002
Right now I am in the slow
process of creating many pages for the Merchandise
section. I finished all the Albums
pages (now posted) and am now working on the Books and Videos pages. This
huge site rennovation should be complete by the end of this week. I have
also updated This Week's Schedule on the left column of this page.
For now, read my new review
of Exit.
Also in the meantime, there is a notice towards the top of the page that
says "We need some AIO FAQ Questions!" We really do indeed! Follow
the link at the top of the page and submit funny and/or serious questions
which will indeed be answered on the site.
Saturday, July 6,
2002
Today I am pleased to
announce that I finally wrote a new review, that being
Exit.
It's fresh off the platter! Be sure to read it because it has my opinions on
the last Novacom episode, which airs today.
Also worth mentioning, the
Merchandise
is getting bigger and better starting today because I just posted all the
albums, album summaries, and lists of episodes. I am still working on the
Books, videos, and other stuff, but for now there's a lot to see. It's a
huge section!
Don't miss the last episode
of the Novacom saga, and then "500" next week. This is an exciting
conclusion to a 2-year AIO world. Check into your
Wonderworld
account because there's a clip with Chris, the host, and it's...
interesting!
Friday, July 5, 2002
If
you are a Focus on the Family Radio
Theatre fan then you are in luck. Yesterday I stumbled upon
this preliminary mock-up version of the last installment of The
Chronicles of Narnia. The release date is set at October 2002. I've
updated the sidebar on this page with a little more information, at the
bottom.
Speaking of Radio Theatre, I
said yesterday that I fixed the link on the Radio
Theatre page. Well I did, but the site isn't working anymore so
it looks like I'll have to re-make that section. Give me some time. I'll
have it done soon enough.
Thursday, July 4,
2002
As promised, today I have
finally posted the Forum
Awards: hosted by Jared Walczak. Make sure to stop by Polls
& Forums to read Jared's funny responses to each and everyone's Eugene
translations. Also head to Polls
& Forums for the new Eugene translation you can now
participate in and vote in the latest poll as well!
If you hadn't noticed, the
Radio
Theatre section had the wrong link posted. I went ahead and
fixed the link so you can see the site.
Wednesday, July 3,
2002
Finally, after about six
months of non-updating, I finally updated the
Schedule
page. Go check out what's playing this month.
As I said yesterday, the
Forum Awards with Jared Walczak would be up today. I'm sorry, but we'll have
to push that back to tomorrow. Check back tomorrow to read others' Eugene
Meltsner translations.
The official site released
the following summary of "Exit" today:
The
whole gang races to prevent launch date, but finds Andromeda's plans
to thwart them all the more frightening.
Tuesday, July 2, 2002
I am finally updating
Contests
with the contest
results. It was a close race between about 10 people but I was
able to fairly narrow it down to 5 winners, all sharing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place.
Info
you can use... Check back tomorrow for the Forum Awards: Eugene-speak with
Jared Walczak. Jared has picked, analyzed, and otherwise ridiculed all the
forum entries for this month.
Monday, July 1, 2002
Joshua
Shelly of OdysseyRadio has released some pre-information to let you know
what's going on in his contest.
The
winners are the following so far:
~The
Town Hall: Best message board
~The
Odyssey Scoop: Best layout
~AIO
HQ: most informative, best episode reviews, and best site overall
If
you haven't voted in the AIO Site Awards visit
www.odysseyradio.com
to cast your vote. It's only a 3-week contest so many votes are needed.
On
another note, I archived
all of last month's Afternoon Tea updates.
