Archive
'Em
When you come back to the site
tomorrow you'll notice that my new review is up along with my Archived "May
2002" updates. Why do I archive? Well, not only I get bored sometimes but YOU get
bored too. And when you get bored you tend to take a nice look around my website. And
pretty soon you end up on the Archives page. And you end up spending countless seconds
reading archived updates from a year ago. So that's why. Head to
Archives if you
happen to be in that state of mind. Bored.
Also today I am deciding to remind
you something. Go try this month's Poll and Forum! What
have you to lose? Go now! :) Then go do the
Contest because
you only have 8 days to submit your entry!

Occasional Reminder
It's only been one out of two of
the new forum, and only three people have submitted their thoughts! Come on people! I
believe in you! Everyone stop slacking and submit your thoughts! :) You don't have to if
you don't feel like it, but you'd miss out on Jared's looney thoughts and gradings at the
end of the Forum Awards! You want the award! I know you do. So go to
Polls & Forums!
I haven't talked about what's new
at other AIO sites
in a while (bad me!) so I guess I'll do that today. Jared Walczak of
OdysseyRadio and Joseph Paul of
Blackgaard's Castle have teamed up to bring you a
set of VERY interesting (and funny) INS (Interactive Neverending Story). Be sure to head
over to Blackgaard's Castle and you
too can add chapters to the neverending sagas! Bad me! I haven't even submitted a chapter
yet! Don't worry Jared and Joseph!

That's Super-Dee-Duper!
I finally started to catch up on my
reviewing yesterday! An explosive applause breaks out from the entire globe! This Saturday
be sure to check back for my new review of "The Black Veil." I still have to
review the newest two episodes, but at least I'm getting somewhere! :)

Change the
Linkies!
Today I once again revised the
Linkies picture that you can find at the top of your screen. I think it looks nicer than
the very small one I had yesterday. If you haven't seen yesterday's then please count that
a blessing! :) Let me know what you think at our online
Contact Us section.
Go vote in the this week's poll...
and this month's!

Linkies in the Corner
Today I decided to add a little bit
of excitement to this website and added on a Linkies feature at the top of the screen.
This has been made for your convenience. I was bored and decided to make it, so it's a
Linkie up in the left-hand corner of this page in case you're interested in moving your
scroller up. Also I posted a new countdown-type thingy for the contest! Participate if you
haven't already! Oh yes, I decided to do away with my old logo for a few weeks and add on
a normaler one.. if that's a word.
Also today I, along with my cousin,
wrote a little something for that new "section" I am working on and won't let
anyone know what's going on. Indeed, it makes progress. I just know that in the Summer
months I am going to get very bored and... let's just say... write a lot!

Peek-a-Boo Poll Now
Peeking At You
If you didn't notice, the new
weekly poll pops up when you load this page. So if you voted then I'm thankful. If you
didn't vote, then by all means, refresh this page! Should I have a pop-up poll or should I
have one on the sidebar like I did last week? Let me know on our
Contact Us page.
Now... go see last week's poll results...to your left!
Yesterday "Sheep's
Clothing" aired on the radio. Visit www.oneplace.com
to listen.

Problems Resolved!
Yesterday I was in a
panic because my website wasn't working. But today I finally figured out what was wrong.
The HTML code had somehow been corrupted and all hope was lost. But I was patient and
smart enough to re-create this main page of the site, bring back everything, and save the
day!
Some of you may have
visited the site yesterday and noticed a red page with discouraging words on it. Well
never fear! To celebrate the Scoop's quick return, I will dedicate part of my day to
writing reviews of "The Black Veil," "Twisting Pathway," and
"Sheep's Clothing!" I won't necessarily write them all...

The Silver Chair
It's definitely one of C.S.
Lewis' better Chronicles of Narnia. Have you ever read it? I know this isn't AIO-related,
but it's definitely Radio
Theater-related. Recently, the dramatized version of this book was released
from Focus on the Family Radio Theater. I'd suggest purchasing it AND the other Chronicles
currently out. There's only one more Chronicle to dramatize and I don't want you to be
left out! You can get more information at
www.radiotheatre.com.
Also you can head over to OnePlace and listen to episodes there. I don't really suggest
listening on the internet because it's the radio version, not the real version. When you
purchase one, you get no interruptions, linked scenes, and a lot more. It feels like
you're at a movie!
On another note, yesterday I was
rather upset about something at school. I prayed about it long and hard yesterday and
thanks to the Lord, I am back in my group! My teacher told me today that he believed my
story and trusts me for my morals during class. It's amazing the things you have to put up
with in public schools. (See yesterday's post)

Finding Out Your
Friends Were Using You...
That's exactly what I found out
today during school. I had to make a PowerPoint presentation for my gym final, and as
always I got stuck doing all the work. Guess what? I slaved over the entire PowerPoint
presentation! And guess what else happened today? My "friends" in gym class
kicked me out of the group because I wasn't doing any work! The teacher doesn't
believe me because the presentation was all done on one of my group member's names, not
mine. Now I have to work BY MYSELF and make ANOTHER PowerPoint slideshow! Isn't that
irritating? Well that isn't AIO-related, but that's how I'm feeling today.
Dooped.
Choose your friends wisely.

Jacob the
Procrastinator!
Where does the time go? It seems
like there's always a new episode to set me behind in my reviewing! If you're one of those
kinds of people who enjoy reading my famous ramblings over in Reviews, never fear! I think
my laziness will be gone within the week. I will stop procrastinating! I will stop blaming
my procrastination! I will set myself free once again. I still have to review "The
Black Veil," so wish me luck!
Listen to the new sound clip!

Trouble in Timbuktu!
If you haven't noticed yet, my
new sound byte, "The Odyssey Tattler" is now up and ready to be enjoyed! I
posted it yesterday, and fans seem to be really enjoying it. Is there trouble in Timbuktu
for Constance Kendall? I think so! Did she kill Robert Mitchell? Listen to the
new clip by simply going to the top left of this page. Today I took the initiative to set
a side a new page on this site for the Sound
Byte Archives. Go visit if you haven't seen any previous clips. I posted one last week
in case you didn't know.
There's a new weekly poll up at
your left. Go vote! Check out the poll results from last week also.

New Sound Clip! Listen
Now!
A few days ago I mentioned that
I am working on a new sound clip! And I have now finished it since then! Now you'll
be able to hear a comical adaptation of Robert Mitchell's death. Don't worry, Connie
doesn't actually care that Mitch died. Be sure to visit the top left of this page to
listen in Windows Media Player and/or Realplayer! I'm sure you'll all enjoy it. Also I
have gotten a nice head start on the new section I have been talking about for some time.
Vote in this week's poll at the
left and then go listen to yesterday's new Odyssey at oneplace.com! Sorry my site was down
yesterday. A scheduled downtime took place. I updated the navigation bar above as well.

My site server is down again
today.

Sound Bytes Continue!
Yesterday I took the initiative
to begin working on a new sound byte! This time it will actually be interesting to listen
to! Check possibly Saturday to hear it. That's tomorrow. If not, Sunday, Monday, or
Tuesday you'll hear it. I am working on a fake news shocker, so anything can happen!
On another note, be sure to vote
in this week's poll to your left. I'll change it every week and post the results.

Before writing today's column I
checked my site server and they're having problems. Check back tomorrow.

Impromptu Silliness
Up in the left-hand corner of
this page is now a new Odyssey Scoop sound byte! Go listen now! Just look for the bouncing
radio up there. :) I got a little bored yesterday and decided I needed something to do, so
that's what I did. Go listen. By the way, it is very impromptu. :) If you listen you'll
actually get to hear ME talking in my REAL voice for THREE minutes! I am actually
revealing what I sound like!

QuickLinks http://
As you'll soon notice right
below this column, there is a new image that I suddenly got in the mood to design today.
Like it? I'll probably update it weekly (whenever there's a site addition at least). So
check it out and also sign the
guestbook if you haven't done so yet!

Take a Strange
Survery!
In a few days or weeks I will be
posting a very strange survey. You can take it if you want, and you can answer to the best
of your ability! I'll let you know what's up later. Except it's the truth to say that it
will be indeed a STRANGE survey. It must be another one of those Jacob Isom stunts!

Polls & Forums
Awaits Participation
If you haven't noticed, the
Odyssey Scoop Forum Awards
are now up. But have you also noticed that a new
Poll and a new
Forum are up as well? If not,
then go participate
there. So far we only have
one person who has actually participated this month.

Be the First to Navigate the
World!
World? World? This
website is the world? Uh... no. But it is an Adventures in Odyssey website! Today I
updated all the website pages to match a different design! Check out the whole site! We
have some new features, such as the online way to
Contact Us (a great way to let
us know your comments in the convenience of this website instead of emailing us), and the
Radio Theater page is a bit
different. Now instead of going halfway home when clicking on the link, you actually go
all the way home. If you've seen the site before you know what I mean. :) Also we have a
new Newsletter signup
section that will remain permanently. Don't forget to try out our new
Forum and Poll this month!
Let me know if you think I
should change my navigation bar to a different color on our
Contact Us page. It's easier
than emailing us!

Tomorrow... Navigate
Your Way Easier!
If finally went through with it
and decided to update the Scoop navigation bar on the interior of the site. Tomorrow
you'll be able to see the Scoop in a new way. The navigation links are a little different.
But... should I change the normal red we have already to a blue color? It's all up to you.
Email us with your comments in our new Contact Us section. You can
contact us in the comfort of the site! :) Check back tomorrow!
If I offended anybody in my AIO
Dougboy joke yesterday, don't be. I thought it was a comical picture. I received it in an
email forward but didn't realize the detrimental damage it could have on the Scoop
readers.

Red and Yellow, Back to
BLACK!
Exactly two days ago I happened
to mention to you that this site will be transferring its design to a white background. I
was wrong! Forget anything I said! I am going to continue with black background, but I
will be revising the navigation bar soon with a few new things and a better logo. More
information will be provided.

AIO Doughboy Gets Burnt
in the Oven
Round 1, set two is on the list
for the next AIO Wheel of Fortune, but I seem to be having some technical difficulties
getting my AIO Doughboy (the new host) cooked properly.
up with me. Where am I going wrong? I just thought I'd give you a funny thing to see
today. :)

Red and Yellow, Black
and... WHITE?
After all this time of being an
Odyssey website with black background, The Odyssey Scoop has now decided to go through yet
another redesign. White background? Yes. I plan on having a white background. What will
the design look like? Well take a look at this page! There's a small hint! The interior
pages of this site will be similar, but not the same as this page. Stay tuned for further
updates on this matter. I can thank my cousin and Joshua Shelly for helping me make up my
mind on this idea. :)

When Your Life Flashes
Before Your Eyes: Mine Did.
If you're an AIO webmaster or
just a webmaster in general, your life flashes before your eyes when you lose files for
your website. And that's what happened to me yesterday! I had entered an HTML code in
order to place the Newsletter Signup on this page, and the next time I opened my editing
program everything went bizzerk! I had doubles of some of the boxes and there were three
of the same daily update! Don't ask me why, but it did something. All the problems are now
fixed, Thank God.
On another note, I hope you're
all enjoying the new title, "Afternoon Tea" better than "24/7" as a
name.
Sunday, May 5, 2002
I Can't Stick With
Names for Long!
If you haven't noticed, I
changed the name of my daily column once again! It was once the 24/7 column and now it is
called "Afternoon Tea." Hmm... how long will this title last? If that teapot
annoys you let me know. :) All I gotta say is... it's a Jacob Isom idea. No one else has
this kind of mind. Also I removed a few things from the sidebar and added a newsletter
signup on this page if you're interested. Go sign up for the newsletter! Also there is a
cool new survey at the bottom of the left column! Go vote!

Such Excitement.
I have absolutely nothing
exciting to report today. Wow... maybe something will be up tomorrow.

The Odyssey Scoop Forum
Awards!
It's been about two months since
the latest forum started
here at the Odyssey Scoop, and it's time to wind it down and release all the Scoop fans'
opinions! Since we are winding down and releasing this information, Jared Walczak was so
kind enough to turn the Polls
& Forums section into a mini contest. Will this happen every Scoop forum? We don't
know? If you want it then Jared will do it. :) Tomorrow you'll be reading Jared's
comments, analyzations, and riddicules on every Forum participant! Check back here
tomorrow! It'll be an interesting thing to see! Be sure to check out the ad below.
Don't worry, we'll have another
Eugene translation forum going on this month in case you're interested! People seem to
really get into this! On another note, go listen to a small, corny production called
"John's Chickens" at the
Town
Hall. (Jared Walczak strikes again!) You can find it under a recent post called
"Bored? Need Odyssey-related Oddness? Click here!".

Oh Stop It!
You know what? I was listening
to a BTV episode on Saturday (if you can figure out which one that is then... Bravo), and
I realized that I wasn't pleased with the episode that much. Why wasn't I pleased? Well,
maybe it's just me, but in one or two of the BTV episodes it seems like AIO is making fun
of Bible stories. The way in which the characters in the Bible story act and talk gives me
a funny feeling. I think that Adventures in Odyssey needs to take better care when
producing BTV's because a little kid out there might just get the same inference I made.
"B-TV:Grace" is probably the most disrespectful Bible story episode... go listen
to it if you taped it off the radio when it first played. I think you'll agree with me. (I
enjoy BTV shows, I really do. Don't make the inference that I don't.

Out With April
Showers, In With May Flowers...
Yes, it's that time again. The
time that bees remember to come out of where they were hiding all winter, the time when
birds come up to where we live and sing pretty songs, and the time when everyone wants to
be outside. Goodbye April! Bring on the month of May!
A rather sappy paragraph if I do
say so myself. But AIO WOF wasn't sappy this round! That's right! We have our winners!
won, or visit the link at the top of the screen when you're ready. (It's interesting
to note that OdysseyFan didn't even watch this round.) I'm not sure when I will begin
round 11, or should I call that round 1 of set two? Next round the "AIO
Doughboy" will be our new host. Don't ask me questions because you know it's gonna be
something bizarre. :) If you're interested in reading any of April's archives, click
