What would you say if I told you that I stalked your instagram for 20 minutes last night instead of studying for my accounting midterm?

(Also your daughter is the cutest thing ever.)

LOL! I would say that I hope my Instagram was just slightly more interesting than an accounting midterm. ;) Although you should definitely not procrastinate.

Thanks! I like her. I think I'll keep her.

Learning about people's lives is so much more interesting than any of my classes.

Is instagram your favorite social media? (medium?)

Who is your favorite Disney princess?

Are you the same person on the ToO who made an adorable superhero skirt for her daughter, or am I getting you mixed up with someone?

Who is your favorite musical artist/group?

Nah. I like Facebook and Twitter best.

I've always loved Mulan. But I'm also a fan of Anna and Elsa.

Yes! That was me. She still wears that skirt occasionally.

Josh Groban is my favorite vocalist. Beyond that, I don't have any actual favorites. I like a lot of different kind of music.

Oh my goodness, you're awesome. Josh Groban was my first celebrity crush, I still think he's great.

Are you an early bird or a late owl?

He's the beessssttt! I got to see him in concert (FROM THE FRONT ROW BASICALLY) a couple years ago in Seattle. So amazing. He also retweeted me once. :D

Definitely a night owl. I HATE mornings.

Ben Carson, while I'm sure he's a very nice guy, is not qualified to be president.
Donald Trump I'm sure is not a very nice guy and while he is moderately more qualified to be president than Carson, he is a complete buffoon and I would be scared to death of him holding the most powerful office in the world.
Hillary Clinton IS qualified to be president but she's also the very definition of an establishment politician and she supports many, many things I do not agree with. She would not be my first choice for President, but if the vote next November came down to Hillary v. whateverRepublicancandidate, I'd vote Hillary.

Rock. I loathe country music.

No. I used to, back in my days of playing violin and piano. But not anymore. I occasionally listen to classical while studying or doing work or something. It makes good concentration music.

If your brain were a room, what kind of room would your brain be?

What kind of teacher do you like?

Do you ever people watch and make up stories inside your head or with a friend about those people?

What are some of your favorite dystopians?

He's never held or even sought a single public office in his entire life, nor has he served in the military. He is a doctor. An author. And thanks to Fox News, a political pundit. But he is not qualified to be President.

Personally, I wouldn't hire someone who had never even taken a college biology class to be head of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Nor would I elect someone who has no experience in or with public office to the highest-ranking public office (and military position) in the country.

Probably an old dusty book store. The disorganized kind with creaky wood floors and piles of books that haven't been shelved properly.

Good ones. :P It's hard to describe. But I like professors who actually spend lecture time lecturing and are able to teach the materials in a way students can understand. I also prefer my teachers to be organized and a little strict. Don't be all wishy washy on your deadlines and stuff. I also like professors who work accountability into their teaching style. So like, I had one teacher who would randomly call on students during the class period to ask their thoughts on the reading. If you hadn't done the reading and had nothing to say, then you were docked participation points. And because you were called on randomly and never knew which day you'd be called on, you were forced to keep up with the readings. Those kinds of measures are really helpful for college students who often struggle with time management and such.

Sometimes. But mostly I just people watch and eavesdrop. :P

The Giver is one of my all-time favorite books. I also liked the Handmaid's Tale. And I'm always a huge fan of the classics like Fahrenheit 451 and 1984. I do enjoy more contemporary YA dystopian fiction like The Hunger Games and the Divergent series. But I also think it isn't quite as well done as some of the more classic stuff. Authors these days rely too heavily on first-person narrative and it becomes a crutch for lazy storytelling in some ways.

Do you listen to music everyday?

Would you read that book "The Reason For God" if someone sent you a copy? :P

Not every day.

I sure would.

Fun story: One time I was reading through a book called "Misquoting Jesus" and was talking about it on Facebook. I had a friend on Facebook mail me what is essentially a rebuttal book to that called "Misquoting Truth." He also sent it anonymously so it took me a few weeks to actually figure out who'd sent it to me. #mystery

Oh, don't worry, I am too. :( Oh the shame, SS.

Do you think their should be religious representation in our government?

What is one thing you wished you had in your house/apartment/wherever-you-live? (ie, spiral staircase, laundry chute, finished basement, etc.)

I think people with a variety of religious beliefs (and non-religious beliefs) should be in our government. I'm totally fine with Christians or Muslims or Mormons or atheists or Jewish people being elected to office. I don't think religious beliefs should be the basis for legislation or policy, however. We aren't a theocracy.

There are three things I wish I could change about our current apartment, listed in order of importance:
1. More/bigger windows. We barely get any daylight in our place and it's depressing.
2. A balcony or porch or something.
3. In-unit washer and dryer. We use coin-op laundry across the hall and it gets expensive.

I have! I loved them all. But it's been awhile since I've read the rest of the series. I've read The Giver multiple times, though.
