Yeah, but but there was a log uncertain "ummm" before it. Anyhow, it's now open, for better or worse. In the Front Counter, as I said. Enter at your own risk... And I said that post about us being knowing/not knowing each other we'd never feel close enough to talk about crushes.

We all know that the aio team wanted 2 end the Connie and Mitch thing once and for all. But I am wishing, and hopingn that maybe something will happen, and, I can hardly bear 2 say, Maureen * shudders* and mitch * blushes* Break up.

I wish they stayed together, but in Something Blue it seemed like Mitch didn't really pay attention to Connie. They also didn't have much in common.

^^ Props to Belle ^^
I'm glad they didn't get married.
To me, Mitch seemed very out of character in these episodes. I don't know why, but something about the way he acted seemed different. And if they did get married, there'd be a big huge marriage drama. And since they've already done that, I wouldn't want to go through it again.

Yes, I think all the boys are glad they didn't get married and all the girls wanted them to get married!
Alas, gabler, there is probably a one in a million chance that Mitch and Maureen will break up. Something Old/New was obviously AIO's way of settling Mitch's character once and for all...

Not all girls.. I'm glad they didn't get married. It seemed like the situation with Mitch always stressed Connie out..

Yes, I agree. If there was a "like" button I would push it.

^^ Props to Belle ^^
I agree that Mitch and Connie should not have gotten married and am glad they didn't. It would have been the ending of Connie's character. They were done with Mitch at that point, they didn't need another Jason to show up or live in Odyssey.. and the show wouldn't be the same without Connie. So I think it is a good thing that no marriage took place.

Dude. I seriously loved these episodes.
I don't think I've laughed that hard over an Odyssey in a long time. (Well, at least not since I listened to "Live at the 25" a few days ago. But I digress.)
My main thoughts on Something Old, Something New, Parts 1 & 2?
1. I hate Mitch. Sadly, If I knew him in real life I'd probably think he was nice. (Actually, I think I know the real-life version, He's just not a secret agent. And the real life version is nice.)
2. I love Wooton, and Connie, and Penny, and I love the dynamic of their unlikely trio.
3. Maureen was a little weird and confusing, but I think I like the fact that she likes opera.
4. The Emily/Matthew detective work was starting to annoy me a little.
I think this was one of my favorite episodes ever, and I want to know your thoughts too.
Did you feel like there was finally closure between Mitch and Connie? Did you like Maureen? Did you enjoy Emily and Matthew's detective work? Wasn't it hilarious when Wooton and Connie were accidentally engaged?

There's a Mitch Stinks Klub if you're interested, Emily and ejmade. And congratulations on this topic, it's well written and cleverly put.
But to give you fair warning, if you keep using that "a-word" (annoying) I may get very nasty. It's overused and detestable.
As to Muarreen... what Maurreen? She wins you over a little when she judo's Eugene. Absolutely hilarious, and it's refreshing to have some kick-but-girling in AIO, which is all too rare. But what else do we know about her? Just that Mitch describes her pleasantly, which only makes us detest her more. Well, those of us who wanted C+M together, at least. Most of what we saw of her was her pretending to be a con-artist. We never got to know her.
The problem isn't liking or disliking her.
The problem is she barely even exists. Never makes an impact.
There's not much there to like or dislike.
And so, we are left moaning "How COULD he!?"

Thanks for the tip on the Mitch Stinks Klub. It sounds like an organization I'd be honored to find myself affiliated with.Pound Foolish wrote:There's a Mitch Stinks Klub if you're interested, Emily and ejmade. And congratulations on this topic, it's well written and cleverly put.

I'm quite elated to see Mitch scooting his way BACK out of the picture. Again. Maybe the judo and opera will help reform him, but I really hope we don't have to hear from him again, reformed or not.
And if you continue to misspell "Maureen", I may get very annoyed. I like her.
