I have seen the Lizzie Bennet Diaries and loved them, I think it was a perfect adaptation for contemporary times. Also the casting, perfect.

Would you rather make cookies with cookie cutters or just round ones? Would you rather make cookies or not make cookies?

Was that as she was reading the letter?Eleventh Doctor wrote:Also the scene where Elizabeth finds out that Darcy helped with Mr Wickham and watching her opinion of him change.
Favorite characters in the movie? (I'm guessing Darcy and Elizabeth) Did the mother ever annoy you?
Do you know what Mr. Darcy's first name was?
Do you like any of Jane Austen's other movies?
If you are asking me, I've never seen Frankestein. Are you talking about Jane Austen's Emma? I have seen that.aragtaghooligan wrote: Also what did you think of Frankestein MF and for some reason I'm blanking on the Emma one's name.

Yes, the letter scene.
You would be correct, the mother was always more humorous than annoying to me.
Fitzwilliam
I've read her other books
And watch the movie adaptations.
Ambivalent means not caring one way or another.

Here are some questions you never filled out in honor of the SS.

Who is the first person you remember reading on the SS?
Users you get mixed up?
An avatar that's annoying?
Users that make you laugh?
Did anyone ever intimidate you on the SS? (This seems impossible)
First PM you received was from?
Users you communicate with the most?
Favorite forums?
Boring forums?

How do you see yourself?
Have you ever read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The History of Love, or A Complicated Kindness?

If you could meet only one person from the SS...in real life, who would that be?

How do I see myself, ooh tough question. I'm not sure I have the wisdom for self examination and I don't think I'd like what I'd see if I did. But I try to be kind, funny, and smart.
I have not read any of those, should I?

No you shouldn't read them. They are my three favourite books but I don't recommend them to people for fear they will hate them. I think you are pretty successful at being kind funny and smart.

Have you ever read the book "The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn? You world probably think it was hogwash and I'm not sure I believe it myself but it sure is interesting!

Figures.
I think it's mostly false but has bits of truth. It's so interesting tho that I like it purely for entertainment.

I actually don't think any of them are exactly appropriate. I don't like to read things that glorify sin, but I'm ok with gritty books that illustrate the real struggles of life. I won't tell you which one to read but I'll give a quick blurb about each so you can make your own decisions.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is written by Jonathan Safran Foer. It is about a boy whose father died in 911 and as he seeks for a greater connection to his father's memory Foer paints a picture of greater human connection.
The History of Love is by Nicole Krauss. It is about a girl who searches for the author of her mother's favourite book in an attempt to help her mom who is stuck in grief over her father's death. It is also about an old man struggling to come to terms with his life.
A Complicated Kindness is by Miriam Toews, surprising the only Canadian on this list. It is about a girl going through rebellious gritty teenager problems in a Mennonite town while attempting to do all she can to keep her family from crumbling. She grapples with her hatred of the dogma and her love of the people.
I suppose you could say my favourite themes are family, connection, belonging, hope, despair, death, and dying.
What are you favourite fiction books and what are you favourite themes?

Some of my favorite fiction books. Harry Potter is probably my overall favorite. The Plague by Albert Camus was very influential on me, it's about a doctor in Algeria during a plague. It dealt with issues of absurdism, religious doubt, and the nature of good & evil. Shogun by James Clavell is also another novel I really liked, it tells the story of an English pilot in feudal Japan who wrecks and has to learn about a new culture and navigate the politics of the Shogunate. Oh also Silence by Shusaku Endo is a story of a Jesuit Missionary going to Japan during the 17th century, it explores themes of a silent God and religious persecution. Ready Player One is also another favorite, with its examination of nerd culture and escapism. I've also been reading a new genre of novels coming out of Russia called RPGLite that are about individuals who are trapped virtual reality MMORPG, usually fantasy ones. These individuals are usually terminally ill or have been imprisoned in these virtual realities and a consistent theme is that doing right still applies even in a virtual reality that doesn't actually exist.
Some of my favorite themes are love conquering all, transcendence, doubt, strangers coming into new cultures, friendship, and family.
