I just don't care for trampolines

At my parish usually in English yes, sometimes in Greek or Romanian.

I can but they're missing several books.

Do you live close to your family? Do you get to see them often? Do you have any nieces, nephews, cousins that have babies, or cousins that are little, or just friends with babies? Do you like dogs or cats? If yes to both is there one you like more? This question might be too personal so you don't have to answer it, but if you weren't raised Orthodox how did your friends and family feel about you switching over?

I still live with my family, the area I live in is very expensive and its not feasible to get my own place.

I have two siblings who are both getting married in the next year so no nieces and nephews yet. Several of my friends at church have babies, the young adults all sit together during church and trade the babies between us.

I don't care for pets.

I was not raised Orthodox, I converted five years ago. Most of my friends didn't really say anything, a couple thought I was doing things too fast. My family were fine with it, I wasn't a Christian at the time so they were just happy I was becoming one.

Haha! Yeah, I guess. :P Doesn't KJV originally have some of the Deuterocanonical books? Or maybe it just has the Apocrypha...

Is it hard to sing in so many languages? ^_^

The KJV originally had some of the Deuterocanonical books yes but not anymore. Also Apocrypha is a a very broad term that covers a lot of different books including many that no denomination acknowledges.

It is hard to sing in different languages :P

What's your favorite rock band? *inwardly shivers and shakes*

Why aren't you getting married?? YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH. :P

What happens when a Protestant adopts an Orthodox hymn and sings it all the time? Does it then become Protestant?

Favorite rock band, probably Cake.

You're hilarious :P

I haven't heard of that happening but in any case it would still be Orthodox since we wrote it in the first place.

uh MF one does not magically turn a certain age and then get married. You have to fall in love and that part can be confusing. The only date I ever went on was when I was 15 I went skiing and fell the whole time, it wasn't fun.

Anyways back to the topic.

Thanks for answering my questions. Do you like babies? Do you ever take turns holding them in church? A lot of brainy folks are scared of babies. I am afraid of them until they are four months old. Do you and your folks get along ok? Is living with them ever awko taco? Is it weird going to a different church from your folks?

I get along well with the babies, I am known as the baby whisperer at church. Some say my guardian angel makes funny faces at them.

My folks and I get along, there are some awko taco moments but overall it's positive, that being said I am looking forward to being on my own again. It's not really weird going to a different church, my brother does too actually.

I was going to ask next if it's even possible that a woman could reach your standard of perfection...but I'll skip it.

How is falling in love confusing?

So you don't drink coffee, what about things like orange juice, apple juice etc?

What's a baby whisperer?

If you like babies why do you only want 3 children? O.o

Baby whisperer is a play on horse or dog whisperer which is a person who can make a dog or horse behave.

I think three kids is a good number, if it works for the Trinity it's good enough for me.

So you believe the Trinity are Gods children??

Dishwasher or by hand?

Do you do much housework or does your sister and mother do everything?

I was just kidding about the Trinity part. I was just saying that there's no universal right number of kids to have. I picked three because that's how many my family has had in the past, seems to work out generally okay.

Really depends on what I'm washing, we do have a dishwasher though.

I tend to do a fair amount of the housework since my mother works and my sister is away at college. Growing up we all shared the house work.

Suppose you get married and your wife has quadruplets? Are you going to put one up for adoption?

You said 3 seems to work generally out ok. So having more is dangerous? Why would it be?

Going by his usual logic if three is normative than more or less is ok, but normative is preferred.

Is that how you feel WD?

Quadruplets are extremely rare so that's not a very likely scenario but no of course I wouldn't put one up for adoption. I was just saying that my preference is for up to three children, I would even be fine with two but I wouldn't abandon a child. I never said having more is dangerous or bad just that I personally wouldn't want three children. I don't plan on making a great deal of money so having a lot of children would be bad stewardship. Also while I've know families with many children that are fine I've also know families where the children feel neglected because of the largeness of their family, I wouldn't want that possibility for my children.

To get into a larger issue I don't see any Biblical command to have large families. Historically large families have been necessary due to high infant and child mortality and because of the need for human labor but that's just no longer true.

I actually agree with you for the most part. But everyone I know says I need to let God change my heart and I let Him decide how many children I have. And that its selfish to only want a small family because I not allowing people to be born, who could be. What would you say to that?

Alternatively to the ones who grew up withany siblings and experienced neglect I grew up with only one and was always bored and lonely and longing for a louder more chaotic family.

But I understand your reasoning completely.

Back to questions. How do you read books? (Ereader, online, audio, or hard copy and do you borrow from friend, borrow from library, or buy most often?)
