Because there are no serious challengers to her on the Democratic side and the current US electoral college is weighted in favor of the Democrats. So if she gets the nomination then she should have no problem winning the general election.

I don't especially care for either of them as politicians actually.

I would rather have neither, I really don't like either of them.

I think legalization or at least decriminaliztion of most drugs would solve the problem. The war on drugs has been an abject failure and it's time to end it

What did you dress up as for Halloween?

What do you do on All Saints Day? I'm guessing there's a service?

How was the date chosen for All Saints Day?

Do you believe Jesus was actually born on December 25, or January 7 with the old Church calendar?

I dressed up as a Ravenclaw student from Hogwarts. I've been trying to figure out how to post a picture here but I'll just send you a picture in chat if you remind me.

There is a service, I didn't make it this year.

That's a good question, I don't know how the date was picked.

I don't think it's important if that was the actual date, as we've talked about before our calendar is a pretty recent invention so our dates for things are pretty subjective. I do know that the Early Church started out celebrating Christ's birth and death on the same date but as they developed into separate feasts the dates spread out into different seasons that all fit together.

*pokes in*
Actually I know why All Saint's Day is where it is (I hope, I got this info from my mother around Halloween. She always does researches like this around this time... also sorry I know this isn't my Q&A I hope you don't mind my throwing this out there. I also don't mean to start any debates or anything. If this is already in the Halloween thread, kill me. I didn't read it.) Apparently, the catholic church was trying to replace a holiday similar to Halloween that was 'celebrated' around that time. The catholic church also replaced similar holidays which were at like the summer, spring, and winter solstices or equinoxes, I forget which. The purpose being to give Christians something to celebrate while their fellow pagan neighbors celebrated dead people (great idea, right?). The spring one they replaced with Easter, the winter celebration with Christmas (not because that's when they thought Christ was born), and I don't remember what summer was,and the fall one was All Saints Day, which was obviously less successful, because the 'celebration of the dead' was moved to the eve of the holliday.

Nope, not true. The pagan origins of Halloween are an invention of Protestants.

Miss Friendship wrote:Are you artistic? Have you ever drawn a sketch that looked how it was supposed too?
I am not artistic at all, I draw terrible stick figures. I've taken art classes before but that did not help.
Miss Friendship wrote:What was the first kind of phone you had?
One of those flip phones, nothing fancy. I got it when I got my drivers license and it was only for emergencies.
Miss Friendship wrote:What are your thoughts on youth conferences? Helpful or unhelpful?
They can be helpful, I never really went to youth conferences growing up. I went to summer camp growing up and that was fun and helpful.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you ever eat chocolate?
Not usually.
Miss Friendship wrote:Why has the debate hall been active without you there posting?
I guess people have opinions about stuff, I have posted some in there though.

Has there been any debates on the ToO chat recently?

Do you think the Chat is slowing down in activity?

Do you think the SS will ever become a dead board?

What would the ideal message board look like?

Does MD have too many discussions going on?

Do you ever talk out loud when you are by yourself?

In EO services are prayers ever prayed silently?

Miss Friendship wrote:Has there been any debates on the ToO chat recently?
No, I also haven't been on as much lately so I could have missed some.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you think the Chat is slowing down in activity?
Maybe, these things can go in cycles though. People get busy and don't chat as much.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you think the SS will ever become a dead board?
Maybe eventually, boards don't tend to stay alive forever unless they have a significantly larger population than the SS.
Miss Friendship wrote:What would the ideal message board look like?
Probably a debate board with more specialized areas that focus on different debate topics.
Miss Friendship wrote:Does MD have too many discussions going on?
It seems to have the same discussion going on in several threads at once and no real progress being made in any of them.
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you ever talk out loud when you are by yourself?
I do that occasionally.
Miss Friendship wrote:In EO services are prayers ever prayed silently?
Some of the priestly prayers are said quietly but no not silently.

Is your home heated by wood stove in the winter?

Does it get very cold in Virginia?

How far do you live from the DC border?

Is your brother a good speaker?

Who was the most interesting speaker at Doxacon this year? (since you probably won't respond till it's over)

How many of your friends went to Doxacon? Did any of them go to hear Leah?

Which of us has a longer username on the SS? :P

If you met Donald Trump IRL would you say anything to him? If so, what?

Have you ever met Rand Paul IRL?

Will you look at USA news when you are in Canada?

Do you prefer Taco Bell or McDonalds?

Did you ever find out why the stars were changed to hearts on Twitter?
Instead of favoring a tweet, you should be able to "like" it. Because the argument is that not everything can be your "favorite." :D https://blog.twitter.com/2015/hearts-on-twitter

Miss Friendship wrote:Is your home heated by wood stove in the winter?
No, we have an air system that heats or cools the house. Even our stove is electric.
Miss Friendship wrote:Does it get very cold in Virginia?
Depends on what you mean by very cold, we get snow but it doesn't get below zero very often.
Miss Friendship wrote:How far do you live from the DC border?
It takes me about 40 minutes to get into DC.
Miss Friendship wrote:Is your brother a good speaker?
He is, he did better in debate and speech than I did.
Miss Friendship wrote:Who was the most interesting speaker at Doxacon this year?
I think it was Leah.
Miss Friendship wrote:How many of your friends went to Doxacon? Did any of them go to hear Leah?
Maybe a dozen of my friends went to Doxacon, Ivan heard Leah. But most of them were friends from St. Marys not Twitter.
Miss Friendship wrote:If you met Donald Trump IRL would you say anything to him? If so, what?
I wouldn't waste my time talking to him.
Miss Friendship wrote:Have you ever met Rand Paul IRL?
I have not, I met Ron Paul once.
Miss Friendship wrote:Will you look at USA news when you are in Canada?
I don't plan on it
Miss Friendship wrote:Do you prefer Taco Bell or McDonalds?
Taco Bell
Miss Friendship wrote:Did you ever find out why the stars were changed to hearts on Twitter?
I did not and I don't care for the change
Miss Friendship wrote:What do you think of Anabaptist singing?
I thought it was good but I do prefer more variety in my music.

Can you pray for little things?

So, to "become a Christian" you just join your church?

So, babies that can't even talk are allowed to take the Eucharist, but a Protestant adult is not?
