No, you can't prove Sola Scriptura with the Bible because, and this disproves it in my mind too, nowhere in Scripture do you find Sola Scruptura.Isaiah the Ox wrote:Disprove Sola Scriptura.
Do you think you can prove an idea (such as Sola Scriptura) with the same item you are proving (such as with the Bible)?

Are Blitz and Ox better debaters because you agree with them more, or because they give longer more wordy responses?

Ox is a better debater because he weighs sources and facts before believing them. He then uses relevant and credible sources to back up his points. He also address issues directly and avoids tangents.Miss Friendship wrote:Are Blitz and Ox better debaters because you agree with them more, or because they give longer more wordy responses?

Oooh tough choice, I used to eat a lot of carrots but I don't as much anymore so I'd have to go with carrots. Pineapples are just too good.

What did you think of the main actor Micheal Landon? Is that a "good quality" series?
So, the people in the congregation can change with society? How is that remaining separate and not changing from the grandparents generation? And is the Church only for Bishops and Priests to remain exactly the same too? Using this logic, why would the people have to believe everything the Eastern Orthodox church teaches?

I thought he was good in it, yes I would say it is a quality series.
The quote you're referencing was about worship, not dress. I never said anything about dress. That doesn't logically follow, you need to show a couple more links between changing style of dress and inability of the Church to be authoritative.

All right, sure. Except I don't see why the Priests would need to still dress the same, and yet the people not. ?
How long does a normal EO service last? Does it ever go overtime?
Do the EO's chant from memory or are reading something?

Good question, I don't know why. I'll ask.
Our Liturgy last from about one hour and forty five minutes to two hours. A lot of it depends on how fast the choir and priest are and how many people are taking communion. Also if there's a bishop or a memorial service that can add another 15-30 minutes. So yes, it often goes overtime.
Most of us chant from memory but we have handout and books for the movable portions.

What did you have for supper tonight?
Favorite meal ever?
Was today a good day or bad day?
Is the quote in my signature true? Do you think Ox will have a rant about it?

I had some pizza
Favorite meal ever was a roast beef with gravy, carrots, and creamed spinach. I had a manhattan with it and for desert a cherry bread pudding.
Today was a, eh day. I probably lounged around too much but then I got some stuff done near the end of the day.
I would agree with it, not sure what Ox will say
