What Kind of Odyssey Fan Are You?
I would probably categorize Adventures in Odyssey fans into two groups: Conservative Odyssists and Liberal Odyssists. An Odyssist is a very devoted fan of Odyssey who basically does anything on the "You Know You Like Odyssey Too Much When......" topic. Anyway, I am a Conservative Odyssist, and I will be outlining the basic guidelines of what the two groups are.
Conservative Odyssists
1.Believe that all of Odyssey is quality programming, no matter what era.
2.Believe that there's a lesson in the show for every body, even adults, even in more "kidsy" episodes.
3.Believe that "slice-of-life" episodes are amazing and important, just as much as sagas, and
4.That sagas should be followed up by slice-of-life episodes to maintain the show's typical nostalgic quality, instead of just becoming a mindless action/adventure show.
Liberal Odyssists
1.Believe that Odyssey has degraded into nothing more than immature childish entertainment, besides being biased against eras.
2.Believe that if the episode is "kidsy", there's nothing older audiences can get out of it.
3.Believe that slice-of-life episodes can only be somewhat entertaining, and for the most part they are dry, boring, and have been overdone.
4.Believe that sagas should be the main point of the show, with few, if any slice-of-life episodes, thus reducing Odyssey to a mindless action/adventure show.
Which one are you?

I've added a poll option! Yay!

Why do nothing when you can Dance?
Between the two I am more of a conservative Odyssist. I do believe that all the eras are quality radio, however there are shows that are stronger than others. The Old Judge wrote:I would probably categorize Adventures in Odyssey fans into two groups: Conservative Odyssists and Liberal Odyssists. They're fans like, not to offend anybody, Kathileen-S. or Ben Warren, Master Scoop Reviewer. They're not totally liberal, but if you read his reviews, or Kathileen's comments, they DESPISE the new Odyssey. So they're not totally Liberal, in my opinion, they're just more Liberal in my opinion than Conservative.

From the conservative category, i fit in with numbers 3 and 4
In the Liberal category, i agree (to a certain extent.. i dont know if i would go so far as to say "degraded into nothing more than immature childish entertainment, besides being biased against eras") with number 1 (but only a little

I am 100% percent Conservative. I've gotten upset when people talk about "all the changes" and "a cartoonish and immature Whit", or as Ben Warren said, "....catering to the modern ADD child with a joke uttered every two seconds."

I am mostly Conservative, but I like the Herlinger era the best. The Old Judge wrote:I would probably categorize Adventures in Odyssey fans into two groups: Conservative Odyssists and Liberal Odyssists. I'd say I'm the conservative type, would anyone admit to the alternative on an Odyssey fan site? That sounds like a good way to get everyone here to hate you.

Old Judge, I don't think Ben Warren is liberal. He never said he hates the new AIO. Underseasie, I agree. Herlinger was the best Whit in the best era. Pound Foolish, you
made some great points. Everybody hates liberals. Overall, I'm mostly conservative.
