He is one of my favorite characters, but I think they should have left him alone after he and Connie decided not to get married. Something Old, Something New is now my least favorite episodes, and I'll probably never listen to it again. I think it was really mean to do that to Connie!
In honor of the half return of Mitch, I recorded a rendition of the song "Bring Mitch Back" this afternoon. If you'd like to hear it, head over to the TCF's board and download it there. http://ceilingfanpodcast.com/ask.htm#idc-cover
I'm not a CCC (Concerned Citizens For Connie.) If you don't know what I'm talking about, head to Whitsend.org/podcast. Nor am I an MMM (Major Mitch Mourner.) I made that one up myself. I'm not one of those people screaming "Mitch was the best character!" But he and Connie truly moved me. That he's leaving her... is very sad. Yes, they're fictional. But we care about them. And fictional characters are the just the farther side of real life. (I know that sounds really New-Agey, but it's just something that came into my head.)

Yes, Mitch is back! Believe it or not, I knew that Mitch was coming back when The Labyrinth was airing. (I looked it up on AIOwiki. I know, I'm a cheater! I can't stand the suspense of upcoming albums! Speaking of which, I need to look up Album 56 spoilers.

No, I don't believe they should've. It really was a rather bad idea, though it did settle the dispute over whether or not Connie and Mitch should get married. I think Steve Burns could have acted waaaaay better in Something Old, Something New, and the whole bringing Mitch back thing seemed incredibly forced. I just think Something Old, Something New was a bad episode in general. It's not my least favorite, but I think it's bad.

Discuss and debate Mitch here.
I just feel like he could've been a tad more sensitive in Something old Something new...
That's all I have left to say...
underseasie wrote:Those 2 episodes ruined Mitch's legacy forever! Before he was known as the awesome guy who dated Connie, then they came to a mutual agreement that they we're right for each other. But then they brought Mitch back so he could flaunt in Connie's face "I got over you! You really weren't the best thing that ever happened to me! I'm getting married now! Ne-ner-ne-ner!"

So now, Mitch comes back, and he's gotten over his love life with Connie, and is working fulfilling his God-given purpose and is also marrying, and you all say that he is a jerk.
