I am going to reply to Suzy here, hoping that someone else will post, otherwise I'll have to edit my posts together so I don't double post. If I just put this in my old message, no one will see.

I actually don't despise Emily, I despise the character of Emily, that is to say, I hate how she is used and creates plot. I hardly appreciate her personality either, but I don't mind that nearly as much as how she is used as a character.
