*Fondles rapier* These swords are soooooo.... Skinny. It would suck to get stabbed with these. However, in an intense battle, I can't imagine these holding up well against a broadsword or something of that nature.

That is the point. Those blades were made for thrusting only. If you want to fight a guy with a broadsword, you better be quick.
